Am i all alone in Sept 9,2006 on the magic western

It looks as though I am the only person that checks the board during the working hours. Man, is everyone else actually working???? :badpc:

Trying to work - but the boards are always a distraction. Just wanted to mention, the Duval Crawl sounds like fun, but I'm on meds that forbid me drinking anything with alcohol in it. :confused3 So, I guess, we're going to be on our own in Key West.

Also, we found a dive master in Cozumel that will do a 'resort' dive for $110/pp. We're soooo going. We'll get a 2 tank dive to a maximum of 25' depth. I can't wait!

What does this mean - a quickie certification - don't have to have open water cert?

Yep. I don't have the time/money to get certified before we go & this seemed like a great way to "get our feet wet" (if you'll pardon the pun). The web site is www.divewithcristina.com & I think she'll take up to 6 people.

What's going on with Palo? I got a dinner booked, but was unable to book a brunch - and I was online within 20 min of the reservations opening for the first timers. Do you book brunch on the ship?

I had the same problem - Brunch was available when I booked dinner, but within 3 minutes both brunch and all the rest of the dinner reservations were 'unavailable'

I was planning on just making it a priority once we get on board. I'm not pickey about which day or time it is, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Is it impossible to get reservations for brunch once on the ship? I am so bummed - I heard that their brunch is better than the dinner. :confused3

That's too bad about the Duval Crawl, it will certianly prove to be an unforgetable time!! I have heard that the set aside a number of reservations for Palos for booking onboard only. You might want to go straight to the excursion counter onboard and see if you can get in.

Boozrgrl, her DH and I are doing the Disney sponsered 2 tank dive in the Grand Caymans, but you have to be certified. It is supposed to be a great trip. My DW is taking the day for heself and a little spa R&R.

Anyone doing anything exciting in Cozumel? We were there in January and it was just ok so we plan to stay on the ship. Maybe get off to go to Carlos N Charlies or Senor Frogs, but that's about it.

Mom and I have booked the Fury Catamaran - Sail - Snorkel & Beach Party excursion...thought we'd try something with multiple activities instead of just one! Plus, we like anything with the word "party" in it :thumbsup2

Also - Seadooken, please count us in for the Duval Crawl and the training session ;) at the Promenade!

I'm flying down to Florida next week to have a "strategy planning" and shopping session with Mom (Southwest had $69/way ticket specials that I HAD to take advantage of!!)

Scuba Diving without a license isn't exciting enough for you? OK, I suppose the reefs aren't for everyone....

I'm more worried about finding something interesting to do in Grand Cayman - the whole Ray thing doesn't do it for me. I suppose we could take one of the snorkle excursions...

We're doing the shipwreck snorkel in Grand Cayman. 2 1/2 hours, 2 sites, one is a shipwreck. Stingray City is not one of them.

Did someone say wine??? :lmao:

Four Disney cruises and never been on a western one. Grand Cayman will be a new port for us. Booked the Seven Mile beach .. thought it would be nice to flop in the ocean. A little unsure if we did the right thing in booking the Castaway kayak trip. It WOULD be nice to see another part of the island. BUT ... and it is a BIG BUT..we have never kayak before AND we do like to laze around at Serenity Beach...soooo WHAT TO DO !! WHAT TO DO !!

Ahh, some more wine drinkers! I am looking forward to sitting on the varanda with a room service cheese tray and a fine bottle of wine. What else could you ask for. :goodvibes

Oh, by the way, only nine short weeks from right now, we will be on board and waving goodbye to Cape Canaveral.
