That's so great that everything is coming together! I'm glad that you guys have time with Mil and yet have some time that you'll get a trip with the 3 of you, it's like two trips in one!! Haha! Plans look great for the last day! I did enjoy the atmosphere & the food at Ohana, I *really* want to do dinner there someday! I just think it would be so amazingly tasty!
If you video the surprise you have to make sure to post it! Haha, I'm so excited for you! I feel like I would have spilt the beans by now. Then again, I was planning on possibly surprising my mom the night before, but then realized that it probably wouldn't work like that for an adult haha! (not to mention my dog also ate her passport over Christmas...not even kidding...

5 DAYS!!!!!(4 if you don't included today like I do!) I've just started doing laundry to accomodate packing starting later today/tomorrow!
I am pretty pleased with how the MiL situation worked out. She and Maddie can see Disney together, and then it'll be just the 3 of us. Perfect. I am so excited to try OHana. We're actually doing dinner and breakfast there--and we're doing the Luau
I sure hope we like Polynesian food!

So exciting yet so stressful, right?!? I also have to get packing. We close on our house in 2 weeks. Y'all definitely have a jam-packed weekend but it'll all be worth it once you get to Disney!
The last day plans sound great! I think it's fun that y'all are doing a lot of character meals. Like the commercial says, "There's only so much time for them to believe....."
And good for you for telling MIL you're not going to try to add her to the ADRs. I think it's great that she gets to join y'all but yet y'all will still have some alone family time, too!

Yay for you buying a house! And also for finally knowing if and when MIL is coming on the trip. I'm glad you won't have to change any reservations, and I hope the whole adding a 4th at the last minute works out.
As for TT, the Disney website is just way unreliable when it comes to posting their own refurb date. Even yesterday, when there were people at the park confirming that the attraction was indeed closed, and even people posting videos of the signing entertainment they have as an alternative, the Disney website was still wrong. If I remember correctly, they first had TT down for all of June. Then later they changed it to June and July. Then they changed it to June & July, opened in August, then closed again in September. Then they kept those dates, and added closed in April, but open in May. FINALLY they got it right and said closed from April 16 to September 30.
I'm sorry it means Maddie will be missing out on it, but I'm sure she'll be happy just being there.

I really think that the dining issue will be fine. I work in restaurants, and there's no such thing as a table for 3, so hopefully we'll be fine.
I am so bummed about the TT issue! Up until this week I had seen no refurb dates, and then June. Maddie will be disappointed, but no TT means more time for WS. I think that she'll really like the new Barnstormer too, so that should help ease the pain of no BTMRR and no TT. Plus, since she had no idea that we're going, she won't have much time to make plans of her own!
I thought I was busy. You are busier than I am. DH and I have large families with a lot of family members living in the cities. There are so many events at times that I can barely catch my breath. This weekend is going to be crazy busy. Glad everything is coming together for you.
Maddie is going to be so excited. Is it strange that I am excited too? I cannot wait to see the pictures. It seems like I know you and your family so well. You gotta love the DIS. Glad your MIL finally got back with you. I think you will not have any problems adding her on when you walk up to the podium. It is one less hassle you have to deal with that way.
I understand what you mean about not wanting Maddie to think she just has to wish for it, and it will happen. Xander informed me a few weeks ago that he wants to go back to Disneyworld for his sixth birthday. I am still paying for the 5th birthday (will finish paying just before we leave for
Disneyland), so I had to break his heart and say no. Then, he said, I hope you change your mind. Poor kid does not get how long it takes some people to save and plan for those things. As soon as we are done paying for Disneyland, I need to start saving for next years WDW trip.
Day Seven sounds great. Ive always loved the idea of an open day but have never actually done it. Some day.

I sure hope that Mads doesn't think that WDW trips can be wished into reality for the future. Bryan had told her that we simply couldn't go this year because of all of the moving stuff and she seemed to understand that pretty well. Once she's a little older, it will be a lot easier to explain the money issue to her as well. We have very lucky children.
I hope that Day 7 will be a lot of fun. I like the idea of a day to get in all of our "one last"s.
I think it's kind of nice that Maddie's wishing for another trip and you're about to make her wish come true. I remember wishing for more Disney trips as a kid and sometimes it happened and sometimes it didn't, but it was okay. Sometimes wishes happen right away and other times, they take awhile. I think kids understand that.
Congratulations on the house! It's always a great feeling to have chosen a house and settle in and make it your own.
You make a wonderful point. Some wishes take longer than others. It's been really fun to hear her make all of these wishes knowing what we know, and I think that it'll make the trip even more special for all of us.
