Hi everyone!
House hunting went well last weekend- so well that we fell head over heels in love with a house. Unfortunately it's a short sale and the owners are just starting that process (as in just getting paperwork filed with the banks) and because of that it could be months before they'd even be able to accept an offer. We've decided to walk away from might have been our dream home. However, I did make note of the model of the house, and am keeping my eyes peeled for any more like it to come on the market. And, Bryan and I already discussed the possibility of building our own home in the future, so maybe we'll have that house after all!
So, we'll be out looking again this Tuesday. A couple of the ones we saw look really promising, and all of them are in really good school districts.
The house that Bryan fell in love with? Well, it smelled like someone has smoked 5 million cigarettes while frying food and not bathing in it. I almost vomited from the smell. Luckily Bryan intercepted me before I got into dirty bathroom, but I did see the dirty underpants on the floor.
Needless to say, we didn't make an offer.
MiLGate continues. She promised to call me last Tuesday and firm up Disney details. She did call Tuesday--to tell me that she'd know for sure if/when she'd be going by Thursday. She promised to call Thursday or Friday at the latest. Anyone surprised that she hasn't?
I offered to book her trip and try to get her on our ADRs, but even she must know that this is getting ridiculous.
On to Day 6!
It's our only full Epcot day.
We'll be up bright and early again because we have an 8:15 ADR for breakfast at Akershus. There is almost no doubt that Maddie will be wearing a princess dress to her meal with the ladies. I will of course report weather or not salami is considered a breakfast food in Norway.
After breakfast we'll make our way over to the Land to snag some Soarin FP, and then probably double back to Test Track. (Assuming it's running. I've heard rumors that it'll be down for refurb already, but Disney has not posted it yet). The only other rides we'd like to hit are Living with the Land and Nemo. We will probably do Test Track as many times as Maddie wants since it's her "very favorite ride in the whole world".
We'll do some character stalking around the world in addition to enjoying all that Flower and Garden has to offer. We plan to buy MiL a birthday gift at Epcot since her 2 favorite things are Disney/Mickey and gardening. (her birthday was April 1).
I'm very excited for our lunch ADR at Epcot! We're doing Via Napoli at 11:30. I don't know if we'll take a break this day. It'll depend on the crowds I suppose. If we feel that we've gotten enough done we may grab some pool time.
I do know that we will need to head back to CBR for a shower and change of clothes at some point because our dinner reservation is at the California Grill!! Maddie will probably wear her finest outfit (princess dress) and I'll wear a dress as well! (well I plan to, I suppose that I may be too tired to care what I look like
)
Dinner is at 7:25 so I don't think that we'll be there long enough to enjoy Wishes from the restaurant. We'll most likely make it an early evening and hit the pool at CBR again.
I did open my DSLR book this week, but retained nothing. I have to learn how to use the video function tomorrow because we plan to test it's capabilities on Easter morning. I did use our Best Buy reward certificate toward a second battery and larger SD card today, so we'll have back-ups on the trip!
I did see that the resorts are finally offering free Wi-Fi. Does anyone know if this is already happening/true? DH is super excited to have full use of his IPad
I hope that everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend!
