I have a car reserved at TPA (Natinoal) for 5 days starting tomorrow. My rate was a very acceptable $131 for the weekly, using the Continental code 5007160 and the $40 off weekly code ND1881JDK.

I check religiously and yesterday for about an hour the rate dropped by $20. I am now booked at $111 for the week. Within the hour, the rate had gone back up......

Sometimes car rental rates are a game and you have to watch like a hawk, but many times you can get a great deal!

always keep watching... I fly in 11 hours and only booked a week ago to begin with (last minute trip) and I bet I changed my reservation 4 times in a week. I actually just got done checking to make sure I cancelled all of the other reservations....

In the span of a couple weeks I went from like $265 for a intermediate size to $191 for a standard sized car. We are using Costco discounts since we are members.

Very nice!! I do the same thing for all my trips!! Did your coupon require a Sat night stay?? I have a trip in Sept that most coupons cannot be used since we are staying Sunday thru Friday.

For $40 off weekly use National coupon code ND1881JDK. Requires 5 day rental plus Saturday keep.

We pick up at 7pm on a Saturday night, so we barely qualified.

Thanks for the reminder Duds. I just knocked around $50 off our President's Week rental. We have a car from the 10th to the 19th, in Ft Myers for under $300 over President's week, which I am very happy with. It was actually cheaper to rent for the full 9 days, than for just a week.
