We're heading out to see it tonight. :car: Anybody else??
My kids are pretty excited to see this one. I'll let you know what we think.

We're going Sunday to see it. DD7 has been talking about it since she saw the first preview.

I'm a bit curious after finding my favorite from Criminal Minds is the voice of Simon.

I thought it was coming out next week. Have to check out our local theatre's listings. Want to see that movie.... bow chicka bow wow chicka bow wow...:rotfl2: I love that scene

I previewed it yesterday at work and thought it was quite surprising. I enjoyed the movie more than I expected...in fact, I liked in 100 times better than the awful new film I Am Legend!

I think kids will really like this movie and felt it was pretty well done.

Enjoy

Cheers,
Josh

my 4 year old wants to see this movie bad. It looks pretty good. I can't wait to see it too.

I want to see it too. I grew up with the Chipmunks. But I'll wait for the DVD. We want to see National Treasure 2 and I am Legend in the theater.

Has anyone seen any chipmunks toys anywhere? I was hoping since the movie is out they would have some new toys out.

Me too! :p I guess that makes us DISGranny and DISPappy, huh? :rotfl:

My kids want to see it this weekend....not sure we'll get to it until after Christmas though.

My mom brought DS yesterday afternoon. DH wasn't too interested in seeing it, although I was because I loved the Chipmunks when I was a child! I had all the boys AND the girls with this little stage playset. LOL! I think I still have a figurine or two somewhere. :)

My DS4 LOVED that "bow chicka wow wow" commercial and would repeat it over and over again. My mom said the movei was "alright." She said DS loved it and LOL'd at parts. When I talked to him on the phone after the movie, the first part he told me about was the "bow chicka wow wow" part. He was SO excited that that part was on the movie. Guess he doesn't really get the whole trailer thing yet. LOL!

it was also very funny!:thumbsup2

How funny, Lamar from the Bob and Sherry radio show, said this one was a rel stinker! www.bobandsheri.com my kids wanted to see it too, but based on his review I will pass http://www.bobandsheri.com/archive/moviereview.cfm?ID=323

If you want to go to Hell see The Golden Compass. If you just want to see what Hell feels like sit through Alvin and the Chipmunks. Or as I like to call it Earl’s Squirrels This has the same film quality as 70’s Porn but not as good of a story line. Too bad Jason Lee shaved off the mustache. There’s a couple of other analogies but I can’t use em. How can Jason Lee, after starring in My Name is Earl, one of the funniest comedies to ever be on TV, read this script and even remotely think it’s funny? If they not paying him enough money I’d rather see him go on strike that do this kind of stuff. At least with Underdog we never saw his face. If you really want to see a funny chipmunk go to YouTube and search for dramatic chipmunk. Really and truly there are only a few problems. The concept is iffy. The story is lame. The animation is bad and the acting worse. Oh yeah and at 92 minutes it’s too long. The sad part about it is there won’t be that many choices for family movies this holiday season. The bottomless pit of Purgatory or badly drawn talking chipmunks. Only you can decide. My Score: 1 Lukewarm Zima

I plan to go see it and I don't even have any kids. I don't pay attention to critic reviews on deciding what movies I want to go see. I have no interest in most of the movies that they claim are "brilliant" and most of the movies I really like are ones that they slam! I love romantic comedies and critics generally hate them all!!

Any other reviews?? Thinking of taking DD6 and DS3 this afternoon and wondered if it will hold their interest.:confused3

I was a little disappointed at the movie selection for families right now. DH is on vacation from work this week and the kids and I don't go back to school until tomorrow so we thought we'd catch a movie. This really appears to be the only choice for us. Water Horse, too, but I didn't think DS3 would like that one.

It was a very cute movie and my daughter loved it! We laughed so much through the movie that it was definitely worth the $$. It will never win an Oscar and won't even come close to a nomination, but it was good, clean fun and there wasn't anything I had to explain on the way home.

I can't wait for the DVD. I wouldn't mind sitting down and watching it again.
