Alternative to Lime Green Ribbon

Goofy4tink,
That is exactly what I plan to do. I laminated mine so that they are protected and stiffer. Now I am going to superglue a pin back onto them.

I can't wait until July to see how many of these I can find while at Disney. Everyone remember, if possible, put your DIS username on them.

Ratpack....Looks like your idea is catching on....I can't wait to go a see how many people have there Mickey Heads on!!!

We will be there in WDW from the 14th - 18th. I will definetly keep my eyes open for everyone!!!!

Good JOB!!!
Tracy

Hey all you August dis trippers.....don't forget to wear your's too.

I picked up mine today. The HD in Mays Landing, NJ had plenty of them. I am going to laminate them and put a pin on them also. We will be wearing them on our trip 4/30 to 5/9.

JUst back from home depot with both lime green colors. If anyone needs any let me know. I have over 20 and they even had more but I figured I would leave some for the others!!! Thinking of crafting mine into a tote bag. Ever see those tote bags that the grandmoms always carry with the picures of the grand kids in the 'pockets' on the outside? I figured i could fill the pockets with the mickey's alternating the two lime green colors!! Now i just have to find the bag. Im pretty sure our local craft store carries them////

Just returned from Wal-mart and they had self adhesive pin backs. This should make it easy to make a badge with the Mickey heads.

I think I'm heading to Home Depot for a couple paint swatches. Cute idea about making a button for the lanyard. I know my daughter will think that's a cute idea too. She will be all for wearing a lime green Mickey head.

We are going April 30th to May 4th. Hope to see some other Dis members.

and some other colors to use as luggage tags - I plan to laminate our information onto the back of the tags and put them on our luggage with fluorescent plastic ties so we can recognize our suitcases!

MPLsDad...What a great idea!:D Never though of usiing them for luggage tags.

FINALLY got some at HD today - they had been out every time I went. (Very suspicious that alien green was the only color that was out! :) )

I will add my on-line name and maybe even - Do you DIS? - on the bottom...then laminate then add a pin-back. I may even make one for my key chain.

They are just too cute..

Jill

:bounce: Raided my HD yesterday & stocked up on Alien Green! I'm planning on "decorating" my DDs Stroller with them!

I Really liked the Luggage tag idea - We may have to make a return trip for more colors...

Still yet another idea.

If for some reason your HD is out of Alien Green and Sonic Boom. (I wonder why?!?!?) Check out the Behr paint samples. Sparkling Apple and Limeade also make great colors to use. Simply pick out a different color Mickey head sample, use it as a template and cut out a Mickey head from the other sample. Make sure it is a Single color sample, not the ones with 2, 3 or more color shades on it.

We found that Limeade is exactly the same as Sonic Boom. Sparkling Apple is a bit darker. I happened to grab them as a second thought. Did not try to match colors with Mickey samples.

There were two other Mickey colors that I liked that I might make into smaller pins, but I have to cut the shape myself.

 :bounce:

Got mine. I also had some empty plastic holders from the office store around the house from when I made some reuion badges. These work very well if you cut the little bit of white from the top and bottom and slide the paint sample into the badge. These are not very expensive holders and come with the pin already attached. It will then be very easy to attach a ribbon.

Thank you for the Mickey head! We'll be there from May 11th through the !8th! I hope to see you!

Found way back in the threads and just bumping back to page one. Seems a lot new people are on lately, just want to spread the word some more.
