does anyone know where I can find pictures of non traditional FEs? I think I will have to go that route since I don't sew. I've seen a few plastic baskets etc. Any ideas??

I have seen quite a few on ebay lately. They're not cheap, but it looks like the person making them does a great job!!! I've also read about folks using Christmas Stockings or even little tote bags that they secure to the fish. Hope that helps! :goodvibes

On some of the other threads there are some shown. Some people used small canvas bags with Disney iron ons on them, others used the paper gift bags with the handles they could hook onto the fish. Someone even found a small bathroom organizer and used it. If i remember right it had like 6 pockets and was about 8 inches wide.

If the timing is right, I have seen a Christmas stocking used. someone on our cruise used a tote type bag.

I made my own version last year, here is a picture for you.

You can just go to any craft store like Michaels, Joanns or even walmart and just get a medium size canvas tote bag, just put on Disney iron ons.

All the above ideas are really great.......
also if you want a traditional looking FE I am pretty sure i have seen soemwhere on the boards a NO SEW version.

Or there is a lady that also sells them on here some where, even though i sew i had no time our first year as i was making halloween costumes nd pirate costumes..............she did a WONDERFUL job!

Here's a picture of ours:

It's just a denim tote bag from JoAnn's with a custom Disney iron-on... I appliqued the iron-on after securing it, but it's certainly not necessary.

I am going to just pick up a small tote bag and pick up some of that iron paper for my computer and make things to iron on to our bag. I need to do this tomorrow, as I only have 18 more days until we leave for our trip!

Thank you all so much for the wonderful and creative ideas. They are all different and approprite for the time of the year you were sailing. I may go with something patriotic since we are cruising Veteren's day. I did buy a storge organzier on ebay but not sure if I will get it in time-overseas mail! Thank you all again for your posts.

I used a shower caddy... like a shoe holder... bought it at the dollar store.. cut it down to 6 pockets... added the foam stickers in letters and made a mickey head out of black sticky foam and added it to the pockets...

Very inexpensive and it worked just fine.. Of course it is still in Florida packed with the goodies we received or I'd show you a picture..

And if you go over to the Craft thread, they always have a million Awesome ideas to share.. :thumbsup2

Not to change the subject, but what do you usually get in the swaps? We are doing this for the first time next week and I am in need of suggestions:)
