Alternative Aisle "Petals"

I know the big trend is rose petals down the aisle, but is it possible to have anything besides petals? I was thinking how awesome it would be to have leaves for a fall wedding. Anyone have any experience with this? TIA!

You can always ask! I plan on using herbs, but I haven't confirmed yet with DFTW if that is okay.

We did hydrangea petals - from what I heard is that the only condition on the aisle petals is that they be bio-degradable. Which I would assume leaves are lol

What a unique idea. What kind of herbs? Are they potted plants? Sprinkled petals...trying to imagine it.
