Alternate to Rte. 4 please?

Hi all. Can someone please tell me the alternate to staying on Rte. 4 the entire way from Daytona to Disney? We did this once and it was so much quicker but now I can't remember where to get off Rte. 4. DH thanks you!

Honestly, 4 is pretty much a straight shot between Disney and Daytona... and there really aren't any other good alternate highways. I think your best bet is just to take 4.

You should post this on the transportation board. There are a lot of experienced drivers there and they are so smart

We have done this route many times, we take 95 South to the Beeline, the Beeline (528) into Orlando. Distance wise longer, time wise shorter, especially during rush hour in Orlando.

You can get on 417 in Sanford. Its a toll road that takes you over by the airport and than Disney. The traffic is light and it much more relaxing than I-4 although less direct. Its my preferred way to go.

I think this is what you want:

Taking I-4 to TOLL 417 in Sanford is a good option to bypass all of the craziness as it's Orlando's eastern beltway. You cannot exit onto SR535 though as stated by some others. You exit onto SR536 (Exit 6) and at the second light turn right onto SR535. That will take you under I-4

You exit onto I-4 as normal, then follow these directions:

1. Take exit 101B for FL -417 toward International Airports/ Sanford
2. Merge onto Florida 417 Toll S; go 49.0 mi
3. Take exit 6 for International Dr/FL -536 toward FL-535/ I-4E:
4. Slight left at World Center Dr
5. Take the 1st right onto S Apopka Vineland Rd
6. Turn left at Palm Pkwy;
7. Continue onto County Rd 535/State Rd 53
8. Turn left on Buena Vista Drive

We hope off I-4 and onto 417 also. Cost about $6.00 for tolls but much more relaxing and less traffic.

Instead of going up 535 to Palm Parkway to Buena Vista Drive, take exit 6 (536) and stay straight on this roadway thru 3 traffic lights. Go over I-4 and you'll see the Disney arch. From there just follow the signs to your destination.
If you're going to the All Stars or Animal Kingdom area you'll take exit 3 off of 417. Right off the exit (have .50 for the toll) and this puts you on Osceola Parkway which takes you directly into Disney.
