Altered Paint Can Swap - Progress Thread Deadline 10/31

Well stupid me burnt my thumb on the hot glue gun this weekend I was helping DS10 with a diorama for school. Darn industrial glue gun!!

So I am having to slow down on my progress. You don't realize how much you use your thumbs until you can't use them at all.
I'm having a tough time taping the paper down so DH is helping me when he can after work. I just need to do the outside of the cans for Donald and Chip n Dale. If I get anymore behind I will send them out via fed ex and I will include regular return postage. I'll have to guess on the cost.

Please forgive me for being such a pain!

The progress thread has been updated on the 1st page. Please plan to get your items into the mal by 10/25 to get here by 10/31. I cannot hold this swap much longer than the 10/31 deadline since the cans and their boxes are taking up lots of space!

I couldn't wait to get my cans out the door to free up space, I can not imagine what your house is going to look like.

Since there aren't any that I HAVE to have, when you have enough cans to fill my order, just send them on over. That should help free up some space to continue the sorting process for you.

I feel the same way. The only thing is that they are princesses and since I'm in that group, that should be easy enough! Whatever works for you.

I'm sending in 2 boxes. I have 1 for each person in my group but I will not be mailing one for myself or I would need 3 boxes.

Just wanted to let you know that my cans went out today...my DD was sick Monday and Tuesday so I couldn't leave the house...I shipped them Priority so it should get there by Friday.

Remember...your cans need to be mailed on Thursday to reach me by 10/31. If you wait until Friday, please mail them 2-day priority. This is too space-consuming a swap for me to wait for weeks and weeks for people. The 10/31 date was a receipt date...not a mailing date. If your stuff arrives after 11/1, it will be returned to you. unopened. I plan on doing the swapping on 11/1 and 11/2, re-packaging , addressing, and taping the boxes the next day and getting them to the mail box at the end of next week. The 1st post will be updated daily until 11/1. We still have a pretty long way to go so I hope my postman will be busy bringing me lots of packages by Halloween.

Thanks for being willing to be strict on the deadline for this one. I know you're doing out of necessity (I know how big my own box was) but I think it makes sense. We signed up in August and have had months to complete this project.

Given that though, are you going to try and cross group swap so that everyone gets a variety of cans, or are you going to send back any unswapped cans if we have people miss the deadline? Just curious. Thanks!

It looks like I will have to cross-swap groups. I will do whatever I can to avoid at all costs having to send back your own cans. Thanks for being supportive of me holding to the deadline. As you said, we have had plenty of time to get these done and I appreicate everybody's hard work so far.

Okay, I'm just a little confused. I made 4 cans, do I send in 3 and get 3 different ones back or do I send 4 and get one of my own back? I'll be postal tomorrow and I'll send out priority mail. Since I don't live that far from you it should only take 2 days.

Okay, another concern I have is the cross swapping of other groups. I originally signed up for the Princess group so that I could use the cans in Dd's new Princess bedroom. If there aren't enough cans would you just send my Aurora cans back?

My cans are princesses. They are all kinda the same, but a little bit different too. Kinda like the classic Pooh we all saw as examples. They do have Aurora on them, so you can be sure that the cans you get back will be all princesses. And I know Mickster's Ariel cans will be cool ones too.
ETA-I just went back through the posts and I'm sure there will be enough princess cans that you won't have to worry about getting a Mickey or a Buzz one mixed in yours. Your daughters room will look so neat with all the cans in it. Will you take a picture to show us the results?

I will print out all the posts from this thread that list requests as well as those folks who sent their request on notes in their packages and do my best to honor all requests as best as I can. So......as it gets closer to the 10/31 deadline and you see what was sent to me, please feel free to post your most coveted list of cans here so that I can try to meet your wishes.

Along those lines....today was another day with no packages being delivered to my house. I'm sure my postmad is resting up for the upcoming busy week he will be having.

YAY! I will most certainly send pictures of her room (once I get it finished )
