This is definitely us. It's a daily conversation usually multiple times a day. We try to be the first one to mention it, so we can use the "I asked you first." line.

Nope. Much to my dismay, my husband just won't respond to anything he sees as yelling. I have to be standing right in front of him and make sure I have his attention before starting to talk. Otherwise he considers it background noise.

Yelling "what" is quite common around here but just recently my DH has started TEXTING me from the other room which makes me yell "seriously?? " back!!

As said above, Marie texts me quite often too. If she keeps up the text conversation, I call her on the phone. That's the signal that she is going on too long. And if she is in the room and I am explaining something, she'll tend to walk out on me. She says I talk to long to explain something.

My DH takes forever to tell a story. I've been know to give him a "move along" signal.
