We just got back from the Poly and just wanted to let everyone know that it was wonderful...just as we remembered

The last time we went to WDW all together was in Dec 2005, we had to stay at the CBR as we could not afford the Poly due to our house being destroyed by Katrina....we went for Christmas because the house was inhabitable

the DDs had only stayed at the Poly prior...and it was not the same staying at the CBR...so this trip was our welcome back to "our Poly" trip.... and it was great....

You just can't beat the Polynesian

Glad you had a great trip . The Poly is just an amazing resort.....we love everything about it and can't wait to return in December.

Just got back from our first family trip to the Poly, and it was AMAZING!!!! We got upgraded to CL (it was our anniversary), and I almost cried when they told me! We always stay at POP, so this was a huge upgrade to begin with just staying in a GV room. My husband has always been against expensive vacations, so POP was about all I could get him to agree to.

We weren't there 5 minutes when he told me he will never take a vacation again unless it's CL at the Poly, he's ruined!

The Poly definitely lived up to all I had dreamed and then some. Can't wait til next year!!!! DD and I are taking a mini trip in January, a gift from my mom. We are staying at POFQ, but I am afraid it will fall well short of our beloved Polynesian!

Congrats on the upgrade...what a nice anniversary surprise . The Poly does have a way getting you hooked....it's a fabulous resort .

We seem to be on the same vacation schedule! We will be at the pool every day and hopefully staying in Samoa....years ago I still think we chatted on the bus. We are checking in on the 5th at around 8 pm. With the Poly packed I'm worried we are going to get a crappy room (hard I know).


By the way....I can finally post....single digit dance FINALLY!!!!!

We loved Samoa.....it's so convenient to everything and it's nice being so close to the pool .

How very wonderful and congratulations on the surprise upgrade!! That's really a nice surprise. We have never stayed at the Poly as a family- I did once as a little girl way back some time ago but I can still remember how beautiful a place it was. We have made many trips to WDW- 7 I believe now and have yet to get back. Cost is one big reason...just couldnt afford it that is why I am so exicted to be going next year. My daughter graduates from college and it is my husbands and my 25th Anniversary....suppose I might get an upgrade? Probably not as we are going in June- prime season. Oh well one can only dream.....I am so enjoying reading all these posts and it gets me so exicted for what is coming next year. Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Next year will be here soon and you will be relaxing at the Poly before you know it. The Poly is a great place to celebrate your anniversary and your DD's college graduation .

Wow! Pretty sure it was at capacity last year this time too. The resort grounds did not seem too busy, but the GCH, Captain Cooks, Kona Cafe, O'Hana and the Volcano pool are generally packed certain times of the day-around meal times and afternoons. Most of the time the Volcano pool is crowded anyhow.

We have requested our favorite building Tahiti and hopefully we will be given a room there. Have not had a problem for the last 7 years or so requesting it. It is defintely nice and quiet over here-with the exception of the marathon night lol.

Remember, WDW.com will show a resort as "sold out" if even 1 night is not available. While the 29th and 30th appear to be sold out, the 1st through the 6th shows availability in all room categories.

Thanks....it will be our third time in December and I'm hoping it's warm (at least a day or two) because we love the Poly pool .

What nice things to celebrate at Disney . Next summer we will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and our oldest DS's high school graduation......now to decide if we want to do it up at the Poly or try something new .

We are taking our granddaughter on our trip to the Poly - her parents are attending a wedding on the West Coast and will be picking her up on our last day. Will they be allowed to sit by the pool for a few hours before going to the airport for their trip home? They wouldn't be swimming - just relaxing before for an hour or so, maybe having a beverage or two .

How exciting . One of our favorite things to do at the Poly is relax in the hammocks on the beach and listen to the boat whistles as the boats go back and forth to MK .

I don't see any reason why they couldn't sit there . Have a great time at the Poly and enjoy the time spent with your granddaughter .
