Hawaii does seem to sell out some dates for its theme/lagoon/garden views but I have yet to see the resorts regular standard view room unavailable for ANY dates what dates are you going.?For some reason there was no lagoon view available in either std or CL when I looked at my dates. Is there a reason for this?
I will be staying at Poly February 2015... Does anyone know if it is possible to order from Kona Cafe as a pick up order to eat in room instead of dining in the restaurant?

And in addition half of Nuie and Somaoa closed..the resort is still available for every single day including all holidays into next year. That tells ya somethinWith the conversion of roughly 40% of the rooms at the Poly to DVC, there are fewer rooms in inventory across all categories.

You will have a ball with that attitude. The CMs at the Poly are phenomenal. And by January much of the dust will be settling but still work to be done. Can I come?I just changed from CR to Poly CL. As long as we get good service from the CMs, I'm ok with the construction. It won't bother me if it's a ghost town as some have described, as long as the CMs are available. I'm looking forward to fewer people. I'm travelling with older kids, and we don't swim in January. If they were younger, I don't think I would stay there.
Hi everyone
I know you're all probably sick of getting questions about when the construction will be finished by, so I apologise in advance,
But would it be safe to assume that most of, if not all of it will be completed by September 2015?
It seems to have been going on forever, and when we visited a few weeks ago it was a bit of a mess, construction walls up all around the GCH and diggers on the beach.
I'm hoping to book a trip soon, but I wouldn't want to stay at the Poly if it is still going to be like that. Does anyone have any idea?
Thanks!![]()
By then the lobby and pool, hot tub, kids area, and grounds should be done. However they might start working on the small pool.Hi everyone

Hi!Hi Tim !
Looks like we posting at the same time!

Once they finish the biggies like the lobby, the pool, the bungalows and the east longhouse and east pool which will most likely be nice and pretty by your visit..I wouldn't be surprised if they have a bit more in store time will tell.
I will be there in Sept 2015 as I was this September.. It will be like night and day! Can't wait to see the new Poly even though I prefer the old..I accept the change and hope the vibe survives which I think it will solely because of the people that work there. The best.

Sounds like a good time to go![]()
Yes, we did end up booking at the Poly. This will be our first stay there. It was really hard to pass up the "MAGICAL" deal. I really wanted to stay at the GF, but the party we are traveling with wanted to stay at the Poly. Hoping everything goes well. We couldn't request a room, but did ask for a third floor balcony.![]()
I have exactly 100 days to go until our Poly trip! I hope GCH is done by then![]()
I will be checking into the Poly in 26 days.
We have never stayed at the Poly. Any recommendations of where to stay on the property?![]()
We're not going until mid August 2015. I'm hoping a lot of the construction will be completed.
I've not stayed at Poly as an adult and will be there next August on the magical deal in a standard room. (My only stay at Poly was almost 40 years ago as a teenager.) I requested Fiji or Samoa based upon what I've read.

Booked our magical deal for August 11-17 at the Poly!!!! We stayed at the GF this past July, but the Poly remains our favorite!![]()

Congrats on booking that "magical" deal. The Poly is amazing, you are going to love it. The GF is nice and while I've had a few great stays there, the Poly is still my favorite (although the GF does run a close second
).
Our favorite longhouse is Samoa. We found it very convenient as it's just steps from the GCH, volcano pool, Captain Cooks, and the beach.
We're booked for a standard room next Augustand was going to request the Samoa building based on what I've been reading on the boards. Is there a certain floor/location which is preferable in the Samoa buildings? Thanks!
