I don't think anyone would know that yet. You can look at the chart of historical discounts on Mousesavers.com to get an idea of past discounts for your dates.
Ah, ok. So people are just talking about the regular discounts given for this time period and not something special due to the construction?
Just checked in to the Poly (sitting in the club lounge until the room is ready) and the lobby waterfall is flowing full force! Beautiful! Looking out the lounge windows, I can see the new villas that are being built (over the water!) They look like they're going to be amazing.

Correct. Disney is not in the habit of offering any discounts just because a resort is under going rehab/construction.
Not when people will pay their regular pricing. I get it. Why should they offer any additional discountI just thought a few people mentioned some kind of construction discount a page or two back so my ears perked up

I think someone did mention that because I think I asked for more info but I don't think that person followed up -- I'll have to scroll back and check.
eemaxx -- we were just there last week and we miss it so much! What room view did you book? We booked TPV and were given 1st floor, but they ended up crediting us the difference between LV and TPV so I *think* they may have changed the category or at least be in the process of changing categories.
We were in 1503 and this was our view:

While you can see the Castle in between 2 roofs, really it just isn't a TPV anymore. So sad because this was an awesome view last 4th of July.
I called today to check on our reservation for the 20 minute photo session at the Poly. I was told some great news!!! The lady at the photograaphy studio said that she did not think the water fall would be take down until June. She said she could not make any promises but that was the word that was going around. She said the photgraphers are there very often and this was the information that was going around. Now I know this could change tomorrow and that it is just hear say but it does at least give me hope. We are exactly three weeks out from a our sceduled photo session so I have my fingers crossed. She did tell me that the waterfall is the meeting place for the photo shoot and that if that changes they will notify my by email. So I guess we will just have to see how it goes.
I'm so sad. That was our favorite area to stay. We loved bottom floor Hawaii for the view. It always made me so happy looking out the glass door at the view of the castle, it felt magical.![]()
I drag my darling husband to the World every year, and he never complains. He just sighs and asks if maybe next year we could stay at Poly. He's put up with CR (2x), WL (4x), POR (2x), Swan & dolphin, CSR, YC, & ASM. So this year I'm finally looking into Poly... but all those threads about pool renovations have me slightly freaked out. Give it to me straight:
Is there any chance the volcano pool will be available - even if it's just for pictures - by late Oct 2014?
We are staying there arriving May 24th - am I going to be disappointed due to the construction? Also we were thinking of requesting Samoa so our kids (13 & 9) are close to pool, what do you recommend?
