I do agree that it seems wrong to label it LV, call it partial LV maybe with a reduced price from the price of a full LV..

I would agree with this. To charge regular prices for that kind of view would not go over well at all.

I feel like putting these bungalows up will entirely ruin the view from Hawaii LH. I mean those things are directly in front of the Hawaii LH! No one is going to pay for LV rooms in Hawaii anymore, I sure wouldnt!
Hearing that the villas at GF were such a failure Im surprised they would even proceed with this..

I totally agree with you. Disney really needs to rethink this.

I am so disappointed about these bungalows going in. :sad2: I don't think I have talked to anyone who thinks this is a good idea. So sad that the Poly is going to be changed. It is perfect the way it is. :goodvibes I sure wish they would be more forthcoming with the pool & GCH plans, so those of us planning to stay there next year would know...

I know it's probably a stupid idea but maybe if enough of us wrote to them they might reconsider. There are an awful lot of us Poly lovers on this site.

My dh and ds left the Animal Kingdom today on the Polynesian bus. It ended up going to Blizzard Beach and the Contemporary. It took 50 minutes to get back to the resort from the time he got to the bus pavilion. Upon hearing this, myself and dd and ds took the bus to the ttc. WAYYYYYY faster. DH thought it would be a direct bus from AK to Poly as it was on the way there. Too bad they don't tell you the routes before you hop on.

I would be glad to do that. It probably won't make a difference, but you never know. :wizard:

If they have to add DVC to the Poly I don't know why they can't just put it off to one side, like they did at the CR and GF. I just don't like the whole bungalow idea and the way it is going to mess up the Poly landscape forever. :sad2:

I actually think its a brilliant idea. I just don't want to be the one to suffer through it at the Poly while they build it.

Think how cool it would be to stay at one of these over-the-water bungalows with a view of MK out your bedroom window.

I'm sure it'll cost a fortune though.

I am sure it will and I think it is DVC though I am not certain of that. But if it is DVC why are they destroying the views for non DVC members when it is the non DVC members that are the bulk of their profits. Once DVC is paid of its paid off and all they get is a maintenance fee per year. If it isn't DVC then do they really think the bulk of the people going to the Poly are going to be able to afford those bungalows? It is hard enough for most of us to afford CL at all. It just isn't a good idea any way you look at it DVC or not. I will look around for an address for Disney Exec's so that we can send our letters but there has to be more of us complaining about it for it even to get looked at at all. Again I am not sure it would help but we can try.

Is there a bus at every park with the destination ttc?

Thanks for the heads up!!! Do you know if they have one from HS that goes to TTC?

I don't think I would have any desire to stay in one. Yeah, if the water was crystal clear and clean, but it's not. Not to mention the snakes and gators.

Let me know if you find an address. Thanks! :)

You guys are probably in the minority. Lets face it, they'll be fully booked before they even open. Which is why Disney is doing it. They'll never hurt for lack of customers.

I want to cry!!!!

My mother and father in law got the poly letter about the construction. We asked disney to send all mailings to our address!!! This was supposed to be a surprise for grandma and grandpa. The letter mentions views of the magic kingdom, etc. it ruined our whole surprise. And now MIL and FIL say they don't think they're going to go!!!!!!I think they looked up pricing and are worried about how much everything is going to cost (we're covering most of their trip).

I am so, so sad.

if you are at water level you wont see the castle at all, just the island in the middle, and see that gross water below you.:scared1:

Have you stayed at other Disney resorts? You pay for a water view at POR and if you can see a sliver of a pool through all the greenery, it's water view and its more expensive. That's how Disney operates. I love the Poly and Disney but it's a business. People gripe about paying for it but they still pay for it.
