2 weeks from tonight...we will have full bellies from our dinner at OHANA, have huge smiles on our faces from watching wishes from the beach and will be settling in for a relaxing vacation in Hawaii CL LV. Can't wait!!

Very nice! We just returned from a stay at poly CL TPV. If you don't mind, I'd be curious to hear what your room number is for LV after you check in or return back home. We had a room that I believe used to be LV and when i questioned it, they insisted its now TPV. I'm just curious to know what they designate LV in Hawaii nowadays. You will love CL there -- we had an amazing time.

Did you get the answer to this? If they served better beer I would give some serious thought to upgrade to CL and drop our DXDP. I even called to find out if a room was still available with our discount and it is.

We have a super late arrival (10:40!) I was scared of not getting our requests, so I booked us at the Hyatt at MCO for one night and then we will check in the next day nice and early.

We stayed at the Hyatt our last two trips and went over in the morning. The only pain is having to haul all your luggage around. Next trip we are staying at Pop the 1st night so Disney can deal with the bags and then we can scoot over for an early check in at Poly and make the rope drop.

Ok, this is just CRAZY but we have Ohana 2 weeks from tonight also! :thumbsup2 And we're staying in Hawaii too! What a coincidence!!!!! :wave2:

We checked out yesterday after our great 18 night stay in the Poly.
As far as the fridge saga goes, ours was still working with no word of removal..
We checked in late, 8pm and our request of Tokelau was met but we were given ground floor rather than a balcony, we were the pool side of the building and the location was so convenient, not much of a view although some plants were cut back while we were there.
Would love to return but as we travel from Scotland it's a long, expensive trip and all the talk of dvc would make me think twice about the poly if we were to return next summer. Maybe an Epcot resort for us next time, the yacht club?Till all the dvc work at the poly is done anyway....

Is the daybed more like a futon in that it pulls out? What size is it? Could you attach bed rails to it or just to the queen? And speaking of bed rails, do you request those at check-in? Does someone "install" them for you? :-)

Its definitely sturdier, bigger and more comfortable than a futon but its the style of one. I have seen pics of bed rails put on it and you may need to call and add that request to your reservations and then when you check in remind them. I would think they would install but I cant say for sure, my kids are pretty much grown now..lol

My 67 yr old mother, 21 yr old son and 19 yr old son have all slept on the pull out at the Poly, CR and POR and not had any complaints..

I just called yesterday...the earliest check in is at 7 am. ;)

Curbside doesnt start until 730 tho. Learned this from experience so we try and wait until closer to 730... Also twice that we checked in CL they still were pulling up computers and such at 730..But I always check in that early, we drive down from SC (only 6 hr drive) and so we arrive in Orlando the morning before and spend it at a DTD resort and DTD so we can check in bright and early and grab the monorail to MK or EP right after checking in!:cool1:

We are so excited. This is our first CL stay. Feel very spoiled, but the Passholder price lured me in. Hope we meet up in the lounge or beach or OHANA. Have a wonderful vacation.

I would have considered Pop, but we are a family of 5. I double checked with the Hyatt and the baggage handlers will take your luggage to ME in the morning. You just need to attach your ME tags in the am and setup a pickup time. We will still have to get our luggage the night before and deal with it on the way home, but at least we won't have to worry about it when checking in that morning. We are gonna take 1 carryon bag with us so we have swimsuits and my welcome to the world decorations for my kiddos. :)

So, since we are arriving late on Thursday (around 8:00 pm), do you think it would make more sense if we stayed at a different hotel on Thursday night and checked in early on Friday morning? Would that possibly yield a different result than checking in late on Thursday and kindly asking to be moved on Friday morning it we don't like our room assignment?

I'm in the minority as I would stick with the Poly that first night. Yes, you are paying more for pretty much just getting settled and sleeping, but waking up the next morning and not having to move is worth it for us. With that said, everyone's preference is different and you need to do what works best for you and your family and I'm sure that whichever you choose to do, you will have a great trip :goodvibes.

How nice to be at the Poly for 18 nights :wizard:. I hope you are able to plan another trip soon.

Does anyone know if Tokelau and Fiji are finished with their renovations?

Thanks. I saw that they were going down, but I couldn't find on there if they were actually completed or not.

Thank you!!

Does the barefoot bar at the pool have any food or only drinks??

Currently they have two items. A roast beef sandwich and a noodle dish. They are in testing phrase.

Oh I'm sure you'll see plenty of us! We are lounge lizards ;)
