Have you thought about renting DVC points? It is usually a good deal - depending on the time of year you go.

We use to rent all the time, now we don't quite as often because we rarely have our dates 11 months out. We are staying on points in January at BCV for the marathon though. Spring Break would be tough because it involves two weekends of high points. But it's a possibility.

OMG Bradys go to Hawaii! Now I want to watch it again!! That exactly how it looked!!!

I like to throw ppl off when they ask how tall I am and tell them Im tall for my age. They always look confused then..

GF is very formal in decor and I was wondering why you would go for that and not for the Poly which is still tropical just not quite so psychedelic.

I feel the complete opposite (although I haven't seen them in person.) I felt like the old décor was very "The Brady's Go to Hawaii." This new décor is much more contemporary and understated tropical. Like Tropi-Chic!

I'm 5'1" too! Or as I like to say "vertically challenged!"



You nailed the description of the old decor! I didn't mind it, but that's exactly it! Looking forward to checking out the tropi-chic description in 7 days. 1 WEEK!!!

I stayed at poly CL in April and May and it is wonderful

Dd walked into bath and said " ooh, nice tile!" It just looks classy.

The rooms are similar to old they just look "fresher".

The lounge is shaped the same but the carpet and chair coverings look great

With the Hawaii building having been refurbed does the CL look any different? Anyone have any pics?

Also anyone heard of the Poly taking part of this magicband test in Aug or Sept?

:Just booked Poly for the 2014 Princess Half Marathon at a seriously crazy rack rate. But we're hoping for winter discounts to bring those peak season rates down, and then we'll re-evaluate CL. We planned to stay CL at Poly earlier this year, but we were there in January during the renovations, so hope the discounts come through for February 2014!

I'll be at WDW that weekend as well - running the 10K that weekend

I was really surprised how expensive rooms were - AoA was almost $200/night I'm not sure I understand why late February is peak rates - not spring break yet and after President's Day.....

In regards to staying CL. One of our favorite little parts is getting to have the golden keys. Now that things are transitioning over to Magic Bands, do you think CL guests will get golden Magic Bands? I haven't seen that mentioned or pictured anywhere, but that would be so COOOOOL!!!!!

I just truly laughed out loud and had to read it to my dh. We're both 41, so Brady generationers. At least if you find that cursed tiki idol, remember to leave a trail of popcorn so you can find your way out.

I am giggling too about the Brady stuff. I am 51 so I too am from the Brady Generation. Wouldn't want to find the tiki in my room but I wouldn't mind finding Greg Brady!! ROFL

Samoa is great! It will be interesting to see what kinds of discounts are offered in 2014, I admit the rack rates are discouraging. I checked several resorts for our spring break in March and they are all astronomical. We are actually thinking we might rent an RV and stay at Fort Wilderness that week. At least that's what my husband and kids want to do. Can you imagine me in an RV??? That might go down as the most hilarious trip report EVER!

I don't want you to live through it, but I sure do want to read all about it!
