speedo, what end of Hawaii was your room? Closer to sunset point, kind of in the middle? awesome shots btw.

Kind of in the middle but closer to sunset point. It was a fantastic room location. Room number 2511.

Just checked in this am. We had a 6 am flight and we got to the poly about 9:15 and our room was ready. We are in aetorea facing the monorail. Love the location.

Loved this building! We were in 3212 last week!

I just switched my reservation to Poly for April 2014 with the new Disney Visa discount that just came out. It has been my top choice resort the entire time I have been researching, but was out of our price range. With the nice surprise of 35% off, I was able to book for my 30th birthday, adults only trip! The construction, while somewhat concerning is not going to rain on my parade. This is a foodie trip for us and we like to get up and eat breakfast, so any construction noise shouldn't be a bother!

6 months to go!!! :yay:

Just checked in. Had requested Fiji patio with a marina view. Got stuck with a Tokelau 2nd floor overlooking the not-so-quiet pool. We should be able to switch tomorrow. I am beat!

Very happy for you and hoping that construction disruptions will be minimal during your stay.

Just booked Poly CL for the end of Jan with the Disney Visa deal! Gotta love 35% off for our favorite resort. Counting down the months until another Tonga Toast :banana:

Just got back yesterday, I'll post a more formal update from my stay soon... But someone asked about the October activities.

Here ya go!

I have a question regarding the honeymoon suite. Called yesterday and it was cheaper for five nights then a CL TPV...which was the only category available during marathon weekend.

The suite is in a different building correct?? Does it have CL there or do I have to go over to the Hawaii building for snacks etc? Also- are those rooms renovated like the Hawaii building? Thanks for any info!

Yes, the suite is in Tonga. The rooms there have been renovated and they have CL lounge. If I remember correctly, the food offerings aren't as varied as in Hawaii, but you have access to the lounge in Hawaii also.

Thanks for the info! Are there kings beds in the Hawaii building now? We really want a king bed as this is our first trip ever without our girls and we are celebrating our 15th wedding Anniversary.

Any photos of the suites or Tonga building? I cannot remember what this building looks like. It says the suite is on the first floor with marina view..... decisions....decisions.

Also- looks like the lounge in that building was renovated with more offerings. Does anyone know what offerings they have in that building. I really do not mind walking over to Hawaii since it is just me and my dh.

Thanks for the information! We just saved $1600 on our stay in January! :cheer2:

From what we were told, no king beds in Hawaii at all. Some of the other longhouses are getting more kings (or already have), but not Hawaii.

Are king beds only available in suites? The CM I talked to said I could request one, but it doesn't seem like that makes sense!

has anyone heard anything about the monorail (not sure which, just saw it in a thread) being closed beginning tomorrow, 10/6 from 11-6 (OP of thread did not mention AM or PM, but everyone is assuming daytime hours)?

Check in on Monday, have not seen anything anywhere else

It's 11am to 6pm. Tikiman just posted an article on his FB. I'd be really upset if we arrived and the monorail was done. Were only staying at poly for the monorail

thankfully we drive so we'll have our car. Wonder if it's just resort one or if it involves all of them. Our last few stays (CR and Polynesian) the monorail has almost been more of a hindrance than a help. My husband and younger daughter (teenaged, thankfully so no whining) were stuck for ~45 minutes between EPCOT and MK area one evening.
