ALOHA! The Polynesian Resort Information Thread: January 2012

I didn't use the water dispenser at the soda dispenser but wasn't crazy about the taste of the tap water in the rooms. We ordered a case of water with our grocery order but used it all with 3 days or so. We then used a bunch of our snack credits to get water everyday.

ahhhh, disney water!!!! it has tasted like that for as long as i can remember. i dont drink it anymore. about 5 years ago, i ended up with a bug. ohhhh it was nasty. 24 hour thing. i guess it could have come from anything but i think it was the water.
i stick to good old american coca-cola now. it may not be good for you but at least im not tossing it up later.

We are so excited to be staying at the Poly 12/4-12/11 this year (ADR day is coming up soon!) Do you know if there will be any room interruptions b/c of the DVC? I haven't read through all of your pages, so you may have already addressed this. <<sorry!>>

From what I've read (and, keep in mind, everything is either rumor or speculation at this point) there will be nothing going on at all this year. There may be some room refurbishment happening toward the end of the year, but that seems unlikely as well.

Honestly, all we really do know is that DVC is probably coming to the Polynesian.

Just figured out phl-mco is my dd but don't let her know! Sooooo we will both see ya real soon! Hoping you will be doing live feed as soon as you get there as we will only overlap you a few days before we leave.... already feeling sad!

This happened to us when DD6 was only 8 months old. Her pediatrician said just to use the tap water down there to make her formula. It was a 10 day trip and about 1/2 way through she got vomiting and diarrhea, but no fever. Her dr. told us as long as she didn't have a fever the fresh air would do her good. That was a fun 5 days - it was everywhere when she did.

We were the first in the line for Honey I Shrunk the Audience - packed room when one of the vomit episode happened. I didn't think a baby could throw up that much at once. I was covered!!!! It was like the parting of the Red Sea when I had to get out...."Excuse me baby threw up"....everyone else "Ahhhh.....Ewwww"(once they saw me) and just got out of the way.

Live feed will start on the second but it will be off the balcony and only if the wifi can handle it. Last year when we were at the cabana wifi could handle HD feed so most likely it will work for that but our room feed was terrible. See you guys when at the poly!

Ticker check!! Been doing the single digit dance for a couple of days but too busy to post it. Squeezing in the last of the packing and downloading of music before my long weekend of working...and then V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N!!!

We leave today for our first Poly Stay! We won't check in til around 7 Sunday morning, but we start our drive today! After checking in we are heading to the MK!!
