Ya weird, times are off on the posts

Just called, found out mine was processed on the 13th of Jan. and with 4 days processing, 7-10 days mail service, we should have had our on the 27th of Jan.

Carl it's making up for the trip I cancelled in October. I figured on long trip will hold me over till next year. ;)
Ours is alway 9 days.. Wish it could be longer.

Debrn - How did your reply to my post get before my actual reply? That is weird. Anyhow, I am calling res now.

Dis is upgrading the servers so their time and posts are wonky..
don't stress about the paper work.

My DD17 in room celebration.. Declaration of Princess.

Good morning all. Now I can say this message... We got to Disney World this month.

Hey there, just wondering what you are considering for the mail - is it your Magical Express tags or is it the booklet with the coupons, etc. We have our tags delivered by FedEx (which first made me hope we had won a trip with the contest)...but no booklet as of yet. Should I call and check on it?
Thanks,
Jocelyn:confused3

Mickey mail is the luggage tags, ME passes, resort info, etc.

Hi all,

I haven't read the entire thread yet but wanted to jump on here and say that I am so excited that we will be staying at the Poly (first time for both my DH, DD10, and DD8). The last time I stayed here I was a kid, back when it was just the CR or Poly to choose from as far as resorts went. I have been dreaming of coming back ever since. We are staying from 8/28 - 8/31 and then moving over to BLT for the rest of our stay. I have booked a standard view room, but am seriously considering upgrading to either a Lagoon View or possibly a MK view (if I can swing it with the DH). Can anyone suggest which longhouse is the best for a Standard Garden View or a Lagoon View...I want to make a request, plus I know that not all floors have balconies. Is a ground floor just as good as a floor with a balcony? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

We are here and it is beautiful. My only complaint is not enough places to hide our junk!We are really enjoying everything. You get better attention when it is not crowded. This is great everyone thus far has been so polite and helpful. I love Vacation! Aloha!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Have a fantastic time!

Carl,

AMAZING! I never knew there was a Disney Florist thing you could do for princesses. We got our DD a tiara for her 16th and presented it to her at CRT. Your DD's tiara and wand are beautiful! And of course you know your daughter is GORGEOUS! We have a handful of DISers with 17-18 yo daughters at the Poly in early August, want to come join us?

Awe.. Thanks...she is gorgeous.. The problem is she uses it to get her "daddy" to buy her in room celebrations. :rotfl2:

I would love to, but we are going in June. I keep posting we are going to Disney every year but never find girls her age or my DS and DD ages to hang out with.
It would make our trip a little easier if they would run off with friends for half a day.. Most times they are right there next to us.. I say GO Play.. They say no way. :rotfl2: they keep saying its a "Family Vacation".

Woo hoo got my 2nd pack of Mickey Mail today for our trip in 4 weeks! It's a split stay, so 2 different packets. Here's something I never noticed before - on the yellow luggage tags, there is a Mickey head with letters in it. My BC tags have a blue Mickey that says EC, my Poly tags have a red Mickey head that says MK. I'm assuming this is some kind of luggage ID for sorting purposes? So if you're not at an MK or Epcot Area Resort - what do the tags say?

Hi!!

I'm so excited we just booked our trip at the Poly! We're staying Garden view, and I'd love to hear opinions on which longhouse I should request. I know that requests are by no means guaranteed, and I'm sure I'll love anywhere they'll put us. But I'd still love to hear opinions.

We'd like to be near the GCH.

Thoughts?

The longhouses have different set ups so check out tikiman's unofficial Polynesian pages. He has GREAT details on all the longhouses!

As for ground floor rooms, they all have a patio. Some longhouses have balconies on all upper floors, some on only the top floor - so it is not guaranteed.

As for garden view, it is what I always book. I ask for Tokelau due to its central location, all rooms have a patio or balcony, the bathrooms only have one sink (I like my counter space!) and the rooms are just a bit larger than the 'older' longhouses.

But everyone has their favorite so you'll get varied responses. I recommend reading Tikiman's longhouse information so you can make your own decision based on what you like (and check out a map of the resort too!)

Good luck!

I agree with requesting Tokelau. If we weren't staying CL that's where I would want to be.

Carl your DD is stunning!

Thank you very much! She is a very modest to be so beautiful. Really good kid!
So blessed to have them in my life! I know it's OT but..

Carl, sooo beautiful! I would die for her hair! As it is I have to add a little red to mine, if you know what I mean! ;)

I am one of the gang with the 17-18 year old daughters. Wish you could join us but love that your kiddos want to hang with you.

Love your daily pictures, too! Have a great day!

Looking at Carlnix's photos of Capt Cook's really makes me pine for that early morning feeling. The the excitement of another day, the humidity from the outside fogging the windows. I love the damp coolness of the tables and chairs as I dig in to a slice of Tonga Toast and then try to rescue my "sugar throat" with a bite of bacon!

Oh Man, I can't wait!

Thank you for your help...I am going to check out that website right now :goodvibes.
