Hello everyone! Throughout my childhood, the Poly was my family's favorite resort and I'm very sentimental about it. Since then, I've stayed in many other resorts. Now, my husband and I have three boys (ages pre-school to pre-teen) and we've found that BC is the best fit for us.
But we're already staying at BC three times in one year with our APs, so we wanted to do something different for our pre-schooler's birthday in January. Since this is his birthday trip, we'll spend extra time at MK and want to be on the monorail. The Poly was an easy choice!!
Initially, I didn't plan to make any room requests. We booked garden view, and I think any location would work for us - each has its own advantages. It's a short trip, so I don't feel as strongly about a balcony (we usually request one at BC.) But now I'm thinking I should try to avoid a parking lot view. I know that at some resorts, the parking lot view has a silver lining (like a view of fireworks or something else at night.) Any thoughts about parking lot views at the Poly? If we make a request to avoid a parking lot view, any suggestions for wording?
Thanks!!![]()
There really are no parking lots views as there is so much foilage throughout the resort. I would check out Tiki Steve's web page for some detailed room location advice, but I a pretty partial to Figi myself

We stayed garden view (regular dining plan) for our first 7 nights, then switched to PREMIUM theme park view on our last night. We were in Nuie at first, and we weren't super crazy about it. That building doesn't have an elevator & it was a bit inconvenient since DH has a torn calf muscle.
We were in #3414 in Tuvalu & we are in love. It was amazing! The views were gorgeous. I don't know if we can ever come back to WDW & not stay on the monorail. Poly was just perfect
Do you really have that many cats??? DH is allergic, so no cats for us. Although DD begs at least once a month for a kitten
