ALOHA! The Poly FAQ: Fall 2010 Edition

Just got all our trip stuff out of the Disney box. Filled out the new luggage tags. Starting to pull out my warmer weather clothes (since I'm pretty sure we're into fall weather here). I need to refill a couple things in our park bag, but I'll start packing next weekend!! Our bags leave in 2.5 weeks!! We leave in a touch over three!!!

Do they always check room cards/hand out wristbands now at the Volcano Pool or do they do that just during busy times?

We were just there for 8 days and did not see them do it at all

and I'm going again in February and I feel like its been forever. I miss it sooo bad. I just hope the weather will be on my side so we can swim and enjoy the POLY theme, you know!

Officially 180 days out today.... Just finished making ADRs!!! Now, how to make the time go faster??? At least the holiday season should help

Today we had snow (yes!!), sleet, rain.....

I can't wait to be at WDW on Friday!!! I'm ready to get into the Holiday spirit now

Question: If my order from Garden Grocer arrives earlier than I do, will Bell Services keep the perishable items refrigerated for me?

Hey we will be there in 6 days too! We order from Garden Grocer every time and it has always been there before us. The cold stuff was kept cold. We were at the Poly in January and they kept it cold for us then.

All of y'all in MA have an accent it might be different in each part of the state and diffent states in the NE. Everyone can tell when folks have a southern accent (guilty here) but not everyone can tell if it is a NC, GA, or AL, accent until you have lived in those areas or visit frequently. Everyone has an accent.

We were on vacation in SC & people asked DH which part of TN we were from I didn't think it was that bad! In FL, we were asked where we were from because of our accent. DH's aunt thinks our DD has the cutest accent---his aunt is in northeast GA & we're in southeast TN, three hours apart! I have a co-worker from Memphis & he swears west TN has a different accent than middle & east TN.

I lurk here because my hope is to one day stay in all the WDW resorts. Two down, many to go! I hope to be at Poly one day.

We were in tahiti which is the nearest for the TTC and for a quick walk to the magic kingdom,the kids could'nt believe just how close we were.

Thats right you were there also! We normally take a winter trip skiing but I really wanted to go again. My hubby says he's going to play more than one game of golf if we go back so soon, I said no prob!

We just booked our summer trip.

June 30-July 5 Poly gv cl and
July 5-July 15 BC gv cl.

We've stayed at YC/BC CL several times and loved it.

We stayed at the Poly in just a gv room and really like that too. This is our first time staying cl at the Poly. Mostly we just decided it would be worth it to be able to watch the 4th of July fireworks in the lounge as I've heard the beach can be REALLY crowded for the 4th of July.

Anyway - if anyone has stayed Poly cl recently can you tell me your experience? Thanks so much.

How did you walk to the MK from the Poly? That seems awfully far!

I'm guessing that they meant walk to the TTC to the monorail for a quick hop to MK. You can't walk from Poly to MK.

We are going to Poly in February for an early anniversary get away. Can I have something sent to our room as a surprise - bottle of champagne, sweets or something.

I know they can't do it until after we check in, but I would like to check in and go to a park and when we get back from the park have it waiting. Is that possible? Anyone done this before? Do they offer any special items?
