If my lil' girl can make due without her "Peppa Pig" air mattress / bed thing that'd mean more room for souvenirs. Now if it were, say, a Minnie air mattress we'd definitely be stuck taking it with us.

I am busy planning our first deluxe trip, and am thrilled that it is to the Polynesian. We are leaving in 16 days!
I had questions about the bathrooms in Hawaii.
1) They don't have a door from the sink area to the toilet area, do they? nope
2) Is it ok for me to put up one of those "pressure" curtain rods and a lightweight curtain up as a privacy screen between the sink area and the toilet area? (I looked into using those put on/take off hooks, but worry about the wallpaper.) Might work....
3) Does anyone know how large the opening is? Standard door width? There's a photo that shows the toilet behind that wall on the first post or two of this thread.
4) Would the resort assign us an accessible room if we don't request it? I am asking this because I believe that the opening to the toilet area would be larger, and probably would not accommodate a pressure rod.
We are two adults and two teenagers, a boy and a girl, and I'm trying to figure out how to give ourselves a little more flexibility with our privacy. Keep everyone a little more happy with each other. I hope!

Not in our room. And I must tell you, I'm 5'8" and had to bend way over backward to rinse my hair--very very frustrating! Why didn't they move the shower heads to an adult's height when they remodeled?? My DD who is 5'4" didn't have any problems, she said.Penelope's questions got me thinking... Does anyone know if the Hawaii building has showers with the removable shower heads? I find it easier to rinse the kids hair (especially my dd's long hair) if I can get the shower nozzles really close to her, and at 42" tall I'm sure they will be well above her head.
I saw a few in there--both Disney and non-Disney. They did have matching family outfits on Disneyshopping.com, but maybe they're sold out. Might not hurt to check?
If they grind it for you, then can you use the coffee makers in the room and have your own kona coffee in room instead of trapsing all the way to the GCH?
I just booked my Poly vacation and I had a question about transportation. I know there are several options (monorial, boat, etc.) and was wondering if you can tell me the best way to get to the following places. I requested Tokelau, if it makes a difference.
1. Magic Kingdom--Monorail in the early a.m. and boat launch or monorail later in the day.
2. Epcot--Walk to TTC and take the direct monorail from TTC. It's much faster than riding around the loop from the Polynesian.
3. AK--The bus from TTC is oftentimes faster than taking the Polynesian bus to AK. The TTC bus goes directly to AK and doesn't stop at other resorts or Blizzard Beach.
4. DHS--You can bus from TTC directly to DHS, but we've not found it that much faster than the bus at the Polynesian.
5. DTD--I HATE the transportation to DTD and since PI closed, we won't even bother going out there. It takes forever to get there and equally long to get back. If you must go--spend the money and catch a cab. You will actually have more time to spend shopping.
6. HDDR - Over the years we have found the best option is to monorail to MK and then take the boat from in front of MK to Fort Wilderness. As someone else mentioned, you can also ride the monorail to Contemporary and catch the launch out back of the Contemporary to Fort Wilderness. We have just found the first option to be the quickest. Be sure to allow at least 1.5 hours to get there--you may get lucky and get there early, but on the off chance you don't hit the boats just so, you will want to allow plenty of time.
Also, I read you can walk to the TTC. What exactly is that? Is this not the entrance to Magic Kingdom? The path to TTC exits the east end of the Polynesian and you simply walk through the gates to the monorail. If you take a bus from TTC, you walk across the front toward the gift shop and the buses are located in the parking lot to the east of the gift shop. There are always CMs around, just ask if you are confused.
Sorry, If these are dumb questions, but I would really appreciate a step-by-step to the fastest ways to get around since I will be travelling with twin 2 year old boys.

We have a 640 pm ressie at Whispering Canyon Cafe. We have a car so we can get there pretty quick if I recall, driving but would we have time to go via boat.
Our plan is leave from the poly (DM and dd's are spening the night here) - to WL for dinner and to BLT TOWL (dh and I only solo night

We are a family of 4. (WIth a 6 and 2 year old). Would this be a good place to request? We are going to request a bottom floor that way they can play right outside the door.
