I booked the preferred building for my upcoming stay. I read in the passporter that building 10 is non smoking, which I requested. I would rather not have a room near the pool, due to noise level, what about the section that has the courtyard behind it, has any one stayed in those rooms? I was thinking of asking for a third floor room. Any suggestions?
Also do the Allstar resorts share the buses?

In October we paid for and stayed three nights in Calypso. I had various requests, including top (third) floor and backside.
We got second floor, pool side.
But noise from the pool area was not a problem at all. The front area is very well insulated from outside noise.
we could smell chorline, but it wasn't like it was horrible.
We were happy with ASMu -- on both of our stays.

we have been at the AS when they do and do not share busses. I think normally they do. But I think it just depends on how busy they are, if the bus gets full, and how many are running.

We stayed in the Calypso building 10 in 2000 & loved it. Our room was non-smoking on the 2nd floor at the back (Room 535) and it overlooked a small parking lot & tree/grass area. It was very quiet but I've heard that the pool rooms can get very noisy. Just request a non-pool side/view room.

The AS resorts did share a bus when we were there but the service was the best we've experienced in WDW.

We also were in bldg 10. We had room 501 (corner) that faced the pool. Noise was only noticable 1 night, and that was because I was listening for it. We loved looking out onto the pool area, but the courtyard was pretty as well. Building 10 was fantastic for convenience to food court, bus stop, pool.....we loved ASMU!

We stayed in the non-smoking Calypso building a few years ago(before it was preferred)and had a GREAT time! We were on the back side(courtyard I guess you'd call it)third floor and never heard a peep from anything. It was actually pretty conveniant. We parked in the lot at the back of the building after a long day out,up the bongo stairs, down the hall and into our room! The only request we made during booking was non-smoking,didn't request any particular floor or facing feature. have a BLAST :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Okay it FINALLY happened! Someone had *our room*. ;)
FINFAN -- We also stayed in Room 501. Columbus day weekend 2002. :jester:
We didn't hear any pool noise -- even with the muisic blaring. We did hear the water noises from the surrounding rooms. But it wasn't bad. And it was a busy weekend.
