Morning:)

I was wondering for those who have allergies, and who enjoy visiting the water parks, how do you find the food options there? I know most people have a wide variety of allergies but wondering if they have some safe foods, (mostly worried about peanut allergy with this park).

If you aren't able to eat their food there, what other options do you have for food if spending the day? Do you bring something from the resort or another restaurant for later?

Any ideas or past experience would be great:):)

If you get the "safe foods" list from Special Diets it might tell you about water park options. The only real problem with the water parks is that being quick service, they are limited in being able to make something special. We have multiple allergies and so if we have a car we usually swing by Earl of Sandwich and pick something up on the way. You certainly have the option of bringing food in, just no glass.

We just went to Blizzard Beach and we brought in a rolling cooler with food, no troubles at all. My husband & son have gluten allergies. We chose to eat our own food and purchase some drinks there. We did eat at all of the other parks though.

We go to Typhoon Lagoon on every trip and my son has dairy/egg/hazelnut allergies. We found that at the Leaning palms (I think that's the name) they were the best in handling the allergies, they offered a few more choices then the other counter service there did :thumbsup2

Thank you for your reply, hippieck12!! I believe we are looking at going to Typhoon over Blizzard beach, so will definitely check out that restaurant.

Again, Thanks:thumbsup2

We haven't had any problems finding safe options at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach for my peanut allergic kids. The main thing they've had to avoid are the desserts, but that's pretty much the case everywhere. Just mention the allery when you place your order. They have ingredient binders to double-check ingredients. Usually a manager is alerted and will talk to you and handle notifying the kitchen, just to make sure there's no cross-contamination issues. For quickest service, it's best to go before peak dining times.

Special Diets isn't sending out ingredient lists currently. Apparently, Disney is making a lot of frequent changes, so it's best to check ingredients at each restaurant. :)
