Allegiant equipment problems last week

Just saw this on my local news - it took 4 tries (and an overnight delay) for Allegiant to produce a plane that was ready to fly from Sanford to Grand Rapids -

Orlando television station WESH (http://bit.ly/25nFbQQ) reports that a flight bound for Grand Rapids, Michigan, finally took off Thursday morning from Orlando Sanford International Airport.

The first plane got off the ground Wednesday afternoon but was forced to return to the airport a half-hour later because of a sensor issue.

Passengers were put on a second plane, but they sat on the tarmac and had to return to the gate because of a mechanical problem.

They got on a third plane that had to return to the gate Wednesday night because of cabin lights problems.

Passengers were given a $200 voucher on a future flight, hotel rooms for the night and food at the gate.

Can't believe people chose to fly Allegiant when going to Hawaii. They would really be in trouble if they had mechanical issues two hours from any airport.

After the second time I would have been renting a car and driving home.

we've flown two RT flights from PIT to MCO since November. Nice new planes, RT flights under $100 PP including a checked bag. This is at least 1/2 the price of best case scenario, same route on SWA.

that said, we waited on the plane to take off twice. Once for clearance @ PIT (odd unto it'self, not exactlly a busy airport) and coming home early this month they discovered there was an issue with bathroom sensor after we boarded. An hour delay.

would i book them again? certainly, as long as i didn't have to absolutely be somewhere that day.
