Has anyone ever flown with them? Do you have to pay for beverages? That is the way it looks on the website. Are you allowed to carry on beverages? Does anyone know when they will release dates past August? Thanks for any info.

I know you have to pay for snacks on the flight. Not sure about when they release the dates for Aug. Lugage is also $2 per bag per segement or $4 roundtrip.

I heard you have to pay for beverages too. Once you are pst the security you buy drinks and bring them on, but nothing from home. You can bring snacks from home though.
We are flying Allegiant in March. The price of our flight is alot more than the origional amount shown. They charge for everything!

Drinks were $3-$5 depending on the selection.
Snacks were $2-$7ish (for a snack box)
They charge $10pp to choose your seat ahead of time and if you don't pay it then you get back-of-the-plane seating.
Only people who pay the $10 get preboarding, all others treated like Cattle.
They did not run the A/C in the cabin (IN JULY!) while sitting of the tarmac, they cited some problem with a power unit but surprise, surprise..they had the same problem a week later...seemed more a cost cutting measure than a true problem. Later we found others here discussing same issue on other flights with them.

We saved a great deal of money but in trade we were treated like livestock, our baggage was damaged and we had terrible arrival and departure times. It seemed like a good idea when we planned it...BUT...NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Ugh. I'm booked on Allegiant in May and now I'm not loving the sound of it! Anyone have any GOOD stories? I didn't pay the pre-boarding fee, because I was assured that since I'm traveling with a 2 year old, I'd be able to sit with him and pre-board anyway. I hope that is the case! I'll take your advice and carry on my own snacks and beverages. I'd rather do that anyway! Thanks for the info!

It is 11 dollars onlinme to pick your seat. So 22 for round trip per person. It was actaully more money for us to fly with them, but it is at an airport that is much closer to our house. I was under the understanding that they cannot guarenttee you sitting together if you don't pre-select your seat, so since we have a 2 year old we selected it.
Other than that, I have heard that they are a really good airline. I have heard they are clean and baggage makes it through fine, etc. My parents just flew out Sun. with them and will be back Thurs. so I'll ask them too, but my DD talked to them Sunday evening and the ysaid the flight was good.

I flew Allegiant Airlines last summer. Yes you have to pay for EVERYTHING, but if the price is right it’s worth it. For one parking was FREE!!! Yes FREE, It was great not having to get my car out of hock. Sanford Airport is small and easy to maneuver around. It’s not overwhelming at all. If you have kids, bring snacks for them. I will suggest (if you can) bring snacks for yourself. The only thing that I didn't like about Allegiant is that in MidAmerica Airport (outside of St. Louis) they hand check EVERYTHING. Yes hand checking could be safer, but they made me dispose things that I have almost always taken with me. We had to dispose of Washing Liquid, Dish soap, my hair spray - Things I always took to Florida. On the bright side the airport was so small; I was parked right outside the door. This was 1 week before the liquid incident too. But I'd rather be safe than sorry, so that’s really not a complaint!!!

First time for us on Allegiant also. After the SW mess last west we decided to try Allegiant. They had a better price then SW and we only have to drive 10 miles to airport instead of 200 mile drive to catch SW. NOW the bad part I found out about Allegiant Air, paying for your seats $11 one way, cost me $66.00 round trip for the three of us,plus a bagage fee and snacks. Also landing at Sanford instead of MCO. This is our first time on Allegiant also it might be our last????????

Where was the parking free? At your home airport?

The way I look at it I'm paying $39 for a one way ticket. $4.00 to take one peice of luggage. The flight will only be 1 hour and 45 minutes, I can live if I don't eat or drink for that short of a time. Other flights I took I only ate because they gave it to me. I flew Delta the only other time I flew to Orlando and sure did not feel very special, we borded by zones and the fat cattle went first. Who cares. Herded like cattle, sort of like standing in line at Disney. It's a low cost airline, I'm going to get where I want to go, so no big deal.
I would like to know where the parking was free???

We are travelling in July on Allegiant Air. It is a direct flight, from an airport MUCH closer to our home and at less than half the price (extras included) of a one stop on another airline. For that, I can either buy a soad after security, or not have one. I'm sure that there have been bad flights, but there are bad flights on all airlines. Let's just think positive!

My two boys and I are flying Allegiant for the first time May 29-June 7. The total cost including 5 pieces of checked luggage was $331.04 so for that price I can survive just about anything!!! I didn't pay the additional $66 for the pre-assigned seats because my boys are 17 and 14 but I think I got an awesome deal so no complaints here!!! :thumbsup2
