Allegiant Air out of Sanford?

Has anyone used them? My sister will be in Disney with us, but is leaving from there to go to Roanoke to visit her new grandbaby! Traveling from MCO to ROA is outrageous, so I checked and Allegiant out of Sanford is $49! Are they ok? How about the Sanford airport? We've never been there....is it hard to get in and out of? Parking fees? Any info at all would be appreciated. Thanks!

Allegiant air out of the Sanford airport is easy. The airlines does its passengers well. They fly MD-80's. The schedules are non-stop. the airport is a clean and small airport.

Myu parents just flew them 2 weeks ago and I will be flying them in 8 days. My parents said they were great. The said Sanford was easy to navigate.

Allegiant does charge for everything though. $2 per bag each way. $11 for a seat assignment if you chose to have one ahead of time. An snacks and pop are charged for as well.

We had $109 one way and 79 the way back. Book as soon as you can, beccause the day before I booked the flight price was 79 for the way down as well and went up in just a days time, $30 per person. We ended up being about $720 for 3 people round trip.

It looks to be about an hour away from Disney, is that right? We'll lose 4-5 hours from a day, but that's ok. It'll give my folks time for a good long nap and a dip in the pool while we take her to the airport.

It is about an hour away from what I have read, and looking at Mapquest, but I have heard alot of people say that Orlando airport takes about an hour to get to and from as well, because of the traffic.
