All those plans, and I missed my DIS meet!! Finished 1-3-2014!!!

Time out for a bathroom break.
Best bathroom at the MK?
For your FYI-next to the Crystal Palace.
It also has First Aid and the Baby Station.
Great place to wash up and get refreshed
before your meal,
and strategically placed for after your meal.

If you have stomach problems like me,
you know what I am talking about.

The bathroom is clean
air conditioned,
and very quiet.
Nice music playing too.

If anyone wants to know where the bathrooms are at WDW
I'm the person to ask,
also I'm the person to ask,
"what time is it?"
I always wear a watch
and I am always being asked.

When the MK is your open book for the day,
we just relaxed and enjoyed being at WDW.

We are Disney Veterans,
we should no better.
You do not stop in the middle of the walk way
and decide what you want to do.

ry%3D480

And think some more
and look at the castle.

ry%3D480

Fools need to turn around.

Yep here we are.
Notice how crooked we are and the top of the castle is missing.
Seriously, there was no one in line,
still early in the morning,
no one behind us.
I did ask her to make sure we had a full body shot.

"She was not having a Happy Day."
I didn't dare give her my camera.
And, we got cut off at the knees.

ry%3D480

That was fun.

Our goal was to see the New Fantasy Land.
If we were interested in a ride,
we basically got in line.
But no back-tracking.

Buzz is the best.
For some reason we always go twice.
Love hopping off and getting right back in line.
ry%3D400

The ride kept stopping during our 2nd round,
we wracked up way many points.
After awhile it wasn't fun anymore, felt like cheating.

We did a few Fantasy Land Rides
old rides, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh,
bathroom break.

This interested my dh.
Funniest Home Video's were shooting a segment for their show.
ry%3D480

Tom Bergeron was explaining all the new rides for the Fantasy Land.
That is him in the red shirt.

ry%3D480

I went into the bathroom by Gaston's Tavern
when I came out, my dh found a seat and decided
to watch.
So we watched.
We were way back in the corner.
ry%3D400

The area was all roped off, but you could still go
in the tavern or into the bathrooms.
I could tell the young CM wanted us to leave,
but we were not in the way.

Gaston and a bunch of extra's were all in the scene they were shooting.
They must have reshot the scene at least 20 times.
Gaston was staying in character by huffing and puffing and rolling his eyes.

I grew bored and we finally went to check out the rest of the Fantasy grounds.
Pretty inventive to have 2 Dumbo rides.
I guess this is why Dumbo is got moved to the Circus area.
He fits with the Theme of the Circus World.
Tents were up for Character Palooza, plus the Barnstormer was in this area.

We walked past Story Time with Belle-45 minute wait.
I guess this is where everyone went this morning.
He is still mystified why there is another castle at the MK.

We almost missed the entrance to Enchantment Under the Sea.
My review?
Bad Lawn Ornaments.
Plagerized Nemo and Friends Ride.
If anyone stood in the that long of a line que
to ride Enchantment Under the Sea-crazy.
The time posted was 30 minutes-it took 30 minutes
to wind our way to the ride.
Enough said.
Maybe I will like it when I have grand kids.

We stumbled upon the new Tangled Bathroom-
my dh actually found it.

Haunted Mansion was a walk on.
Tried to get a picture of the "hitching ghost"
My camera sucks.
Found out later in the week,
my IPad takes awesome pictures.
Steve Jobs-you were a brilliant man-rest in peace.

It was getting time to leave the MK and my dh
wanted to take the train back to the front of the park.

Guess who wasn't having it-
we had someone whistling and yelling
"Hey you all"
It's the unexpected moments or the Magic of WDW.
This was actually a good time and sort of embarrassing.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

See, my dh can smile.
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

FYI-There are bathrooms under the Railway Station.

We caught our train with a minute to spare-
and we were out of there at 11:00 a.m.

We went back to Coronado Springs
repacked up some water and soda and onto Celebration.

Celebration Car Show

Very easy to get to Celebration.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Very.
Expensive.
Cars.

My Maserati does 185.
I lost my license, now I don't drive.
I swear I sing that stupid song in my head the whole time I am there.

ry%3D400

And others for your (boredom) um I'm mean enjoyment.

ry%3D400

Wooden Car
ry%3D480

It was hot and I wanted to run through the water.
ry%3D400

Who Ya Gonna Call?
Ghost Busters
ry%3D400

Wonder if Walt Disney World lends out their Star War Characters?
ry%3D400

For all you racing buffs.
This car won the 24 hr. Endurance Race at Daytona this year.
ry%3D400

Celebration is a pretty town, sort of like Savannah.
This is one of their town squares.
ry%3D400

My dh found an Imagineer that lives in Celebration.
I didn't get a picture with him,
but he owns this car.
My dh talked a long while with him while I was;
"guess"
In the bathroom.
He is the guy in the blue shirt and khaki's.
ry%3D400

He was getting his car washed without soap and water.
He brought his car to the show really dirty.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

More Maserati"s
ry%3D400

I went shopping in one of the local stores and bought a sweatshirt and 2 t-shirts.

I think we stayed in the area for about 2 hrs.
We went back to Coronado and I had me some pool time.
Swam laps and got funny looks from the Conventioneer's.

My hair wasn't liking the humidity and I realized I really needed a haircut.
I walked into the SPA and asked for a hair appointment.
$90 fee-I had 15% off with my room package, but it still would of been $90.
Ack-I decided to get used to the humidity and
and I didn't need a hair cut that bad.

Tonight we had an ADR at Ohana's and then we were going back
to the MK for the evening.

We all know Murphy's Law.
You think someone is going to like something,
and they hate it.
You feel someone is not going to dig a new place?
The thoroughly enjoy it.

My money was all on Ohana's.
What is not to like.

Where else can you get a
Pineapple Drink,
called the Lapu Lapu,
the size of your head.

Me and my dh are the type of people that
love to do spur of the moment planning.
Most times it works out for us.
Though I am a huge planner,
but sometimes I feel like,
Plan and God laughs.

I don't know if it was the heat of the day,
long day or what.
Last year, we walked into the Poly and tried
for a walk-up Ressie at Ohana's and got it.

This year, Ohana's was one of the first ADR's I made.
I love Ohana's.
This year Ohana's did not like us, one bit.

I will just say 45 minute waits between bread, salads, noodles and meats,
and the coveted dessert,
was not a fun evening.
Our ADR was 5:15,
we walked out at 8:00 p.m.
My dh actually got up and went to the bar to refill our drinks.

Before we left I of course had to hit the bathroom.

O dear Lord-
why do I get to listen to someone
throwing up.
Ohana bathroom-not a good bathroom.
Way to small.
Hardly any air conditioning.

I walked out of the stall and a young
adult girl was over the basket.
I don't know if it was the mom in me or what,
but I went and got some paper towels for her.
I heard all the horror stories how the noro-virus
was at WDW, but I had the noro-virus Thanksgiving Weekend,
and I figured I am good for another 15 years.

She thanked me and said she just found out she was pregnant.
She said the meat smell did her in.
Aw, "I do remember those days."
I still cannot eat beef stroganoff.

We left the poly by mono-rail
and made it over to the MK.
This is why I really didn't want to go to the MK on a Saturday.
It was so packed.

We only rode the People Mover,
Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise
and the River Boat.

I wanted a picture with Mickey-
I don't think Mickey was having a good day either.
He put his hands up in the air to his handler,
"like seriously, I'm not done yet"?
We were the last group of the evening.
My dh asked me to leave, but the handler said,
"no, no stay".
The handler actually took my camera and
took a bunch of pictures and so did the PhotoPass Photographer.
ry%3D400

As I was leaving,
Mickey grabbed my arm and gave me a hug.
Maybe he felt some of my sadness.
We were the last couple in our group
and we did have a very large group that
got shuffled into his room.

ry%3D400

Sigh.

This is the night I really wished I would of made a reservation for the Dessert Party. I never have experienced a time at the MK, where we could literally not find a place to watch the parade, the Castle Show or Wishes. It was wall to wall people.

We found this area over by the Crystal Palace and we stayed over there till almost the end of Wishes.
ry%3D480

When we left the express mono-rail line was way down the ramp.
The Ferry Boat Line was just as long.
We had our car at the Poly,
Feeling a tad guilty, but not to much,
we got on the Resort Mono-rail and made it to our car.

We were back to our resort in 15 minutes.

Today was one,
very long day.

I had our mugs along in our rental car.
I had my dh dropped me off at the front
of our resort.
I filled my mug with lemonade and my dh with ice.
He met me half way back to our room and we sat for awhile outside.
We both agreed we had some high's and lows for the day,
but all in all it was a great day.

Tomorrow was our rest day.
Sunday-Funday.

I love early morning in MK.
Last time we ate at CP a little girl picked up bacon and then threw it back. I was done after that. LOL. I told the CM and I believe he changed it.
I thought they were going to give the choice of bracelet or card. Some people cannot wear things on their wrists.
Fun seeing Tom Bergeron.
I loved Dumbo.
I loved the Little mermaid ride. So much better than Nemo.
I find ‘Ohana to be so overrated. That time you were there is not acceptable. I would have complained. I would like that at Cali Grill or a signature meal not at an all you can eat buffet.
I like the pic with the frame in it.
Sunday is a funday. LOL

Sunday, Funday, April 14 2013

Wow, if I didn’t have my pictures to remind me what we did,
I would have completely forgotten.
Maybe this is why so many people give up on their trip reports
and never finish them.
We decided to eat breakfast at the Pepper Market.

I had the Crème Brulee Strawberry French Toast
I thought I was suppose to get a dessert on the dining plan,
So I picked up a fruit tart.

My dh got his special omelet made the way he likes them.

I could only eat about ¼ of my entrée, you could easily split the
Crème Brulee French Toast between 4 people. The portion was quite large.

ry%3D400

I had a $500 Disney Card from Sunshine Rewards-I like to promote the site as much as possible,
But I know the DIS frowns upon them. It is a site that I use when I shop online. It also has paid e-mails which are very few and far between, paid clicks, and survey’s. The last year I have been struggling trying to qualify for surveys. I don’t know if it is my age or surveys are not as popular as they once were, or if it is the economy and businesses do not want to pay for surveys any longer.

Anyhow, I gave our waitress our “Keycard” for the Dining plan and my Gift Card for the tip. The cashier took the total amount out of my gift card and did not take credits off my dining card. The manager came over to apologize and the only thing they could do, was give me credit back on my Disney Chase Credit Card. I was fine with it, since I had a small balance on my card, because I use my Disney Chase Credit card for the Rewards. They kept apologizing to us and felt bad, thinking they were holding us up, if we were going to a Theme Park that morning. I guess I would have been upset waiting around, but we really didn’t have any plans this morning.

I have a 10 Day Non expiring Play & More Card.
With our package we had 2 vouchers to use for miniature golfing.
My dh used the vouchers today and I used one of my credits today on my Disney Ticket.

About 3 years ago, UnderCover Tourist was selling the 10 Day, Non expiring Ticket Fun and More card for $388. Today that same ticket is well over $650. If Undercover Tourist has an abundance of a ticket that doesn’t sell well, they will have an awesome sale. I still have over 5 days on that ticket, and now I have 5 days left for Fun. They ticket had 10 days for park days, and it gets me into any Water Park, Disney Quest, a Round of Golf at Osprey Golf Course and any of the miniature golf courses.

We went over to the Winter/Summer Land Miniature Golf area and did the Summer Land. We got through the course fairly fast.

ry%3D480

Disney Imagineers have the wildest imagination. This looked so real.
ry%3D480

My dh could not get his ball in the lift.:rotfl:
ry%3D480

Finally it took the ball.
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

So then we decided to go over to Fantasia Land. We signed up to do Fantasia, but then changed our minds and did the Challenge Course. The Challenge Course was a lot of fun. It took us over 2 hours. Parking is free at both courses. Only saw one car today that parked there and walked over to the Swan/Dolphin and got on the boat to either Epcot or Disney Studios. They do have signs posted that unauthorized vehicles will be towed. I wouldn’t chance it.

The more Challenging Course over at Fantasia

I know a Thunderstorm rolled in around 3:30 p.m. and it was very hot and humid. By the time we got back to Coronado, the sun was out and my dh went in for a nap and I had me some swimming/lap pool time.

We drove down to DtD and had supper at Wolf Gang Pucks Express. Another great credit for a Counter Service meal. I lose my sense of direction so easy. We could not find Wolf Gang Puck’s Express. We were so used to coming in from the bus drop. We looked at the map at least 3 times. Oh well, we had a good laugh over it. Once again, the portion sizes are huge.

We had to go to the bus stop area to figure out where we actually were:
My dh refused to get in the Christmas Picture, he said we had one already.

ry%3D480

Yep, sometimes I feel like a looser,

ry%3D480

We really didn’t have anything else to do at DtD and we both love the Amazing Race. I love Eastern Standard Time; the show came on an hour later than we were used too. And I was getting some pretty good use of our mugs. We also went and got some ice cream and used some snack credits. The CM gave us more ice cream than what you were supposed to get with a snack credit. Oh and it wasn’t ice cream, it was gelato-if that made any difference.

Thanks for the comments Scotty.
I decided to get my TR done and then I print it up and make a book.
My kids found one a few years ago, that I had hidden away.
They were suppose to find these Trip Reports when I am dead and gone.
Sort of like a diary. They think I am crazy for loving Disney.

Great pics! :)
Thank you.

Not Disney, but I have a bunch of little notes hidden in drawers that I expect my kids to find when I'm gone. Shh, don't tell anyone, it's a secret, lol.

That is a cool idea. I inhearted some jewelry. Personally I would like to sell it and take a vacation to Alaska.

One ring has 4 diamonds and it is in the ugliest setting ever. It sits in a large box, I should write a note in there if I don't end up selling it.

The note should say something like; "Well look what you just found. Are you going to tell anyone else what you found or keep it for yourself. Personally I would keep it for myself and sell it, because the darn thing was so ugly and I never got around to selling it, you might as well. Love mom.

This look scrumptious!

We had plans to do Winter Summerland with some Disney friends in June, but we got stormed out. :sad2: Might try again in December.

My youngest son would have enjoyed the car show.

It would have been interesting to see the filming, but it is probably boring to do the same thing twenty times over and still keep up your 'pep', if you are one of the ones doing the acting.

We love 'Ohana and Crystal Palace. Sad for the pregnant girl who could not enjoy her meal. :sad2: I remember when I was pregnant with Jill, the smell of paper goods was overpowering to me. I couldn't stand to go down the toilet paper aisle at the grocery store. :upsidedow

How cool that you had a super fun Jessie interaction! It is great when the characters are really into it.

yup, you know you're gettin' up there in age when bathroom placement is of upmost importance:lmao:

nebo and I have learned not to plan anything after a big meal. often we have raced each other back to the room from the bus stop. (I rarely lose)... but I have been known to go down to the pool bathroom in times of need (hmm. between that and the last trip, sleeping poolside, I have found the pool is more than just a swimmin' hole!;))

our big house had 3 bedrooms but 1 and a half baths. our townhome has more baths than bedrooms! 2 bedrooms, one and a half baths. but we lived for 4 years in an apt. in chicago with only one bath, and 4 years in our 1st ranch house, only 1 bath.. I have NO idea how we did it!!! (well, we were younger.. and we had boys, no girls, so that helped)
that is our biggest problem with vacations, sharing a bathroom. remember nebo's "adventure" when he didn't hear the "peel and eat" part about the shrimp at ohana's?
(I let him have 1st stab at the bathroom that night;))

and as far as asking about the time? one recent trip, I could not figure out how to change the time on my watch to EST. 4 buttons.. a series of moves that were more complicated than brain surgery. so I figured, ok, I'll just be an hour off. well, except that my watch, for some reason, was already 7 minutes off.

so everytime someone wanted to know the time, they would ask ME!! (why not nebo? well, he is kind of frightening to look at) "pardon me, do you know the time?" me: "um" blank look, followed by a confused look.
.. ok subtract one hour.. then add 7 minutes. or is it add 53 minutes? or subtract 53 minutes? ok, start over... um.. what was the question again?:rotfl:

Good to know others knowing what I go through after a meal. My family thinks I am nuts sometimes. They claim food cannot digest that fast.

Your are a great writer Smidgy-you crack me up. My beloved white watch died. You can see me wearing it in most of my pictures. I did buy a watch at WDW, but I only wear it on special occasions. I was in TJ Maxx a month ago, and I found a $250 Fossil watch for $35. It is a soft black with diamonds/crystals around it. I never have to wind it like my white watch. I think I wound the white watch to tight and it broke. I like watches were it only has one dial and I can move the time back and forth with the dial.

Paper Products? Wow, we have a Paper Mill 50 miles north of us and when we drive by, the smell is horrendous. They actually make Kleenix tissue and Huggie Diapers.

funniest review of the new Mermaid ride I have seen!!! and you're right.

It is bad.

uhoh.. you quoted me before I could fix my typos!:) ok, no one read my words in the YELLOW box, only the original.. tee hee.

a funny aside: after we returned home from the "one hour, minus 7 minutes-off trip" I tried to fix the 7 minutes part.
a watch is pretty important in the restaurant business.so I tried to fix it. and I did. fix the time.. but unbeknownst to me, I also set the alarm for 6:15.

so for weeks,my alarm would go off and the other waitress would say "must be 6:15!" (don't ask why it took me weeks to fix that one)

It's all good.
When I am on my IPad,
I have to be so careful, because it will correct words too what it thinks it should be, not what I want it to be. Plus it never capitalizes the first word in the sentence. Why can't it fix that mistake automatically.

Monday, April 15th
Our vacation is moving along,
why does time seem to fly by when you are at WDW.
It is Monday and my dh phone
is starting to ring, with texts and e-mails.
He can never get away from his job.
My dh lives to work,
I work to live.

We were suppose to have our Segway Tour this morning.
Back in March I started reading on the DIS how some people who had reservations for the Segway Tour,
were being notified that their Tour was cancelled.
Within a day, I received my phone call.
I expressed to the CM how sad I was,
since we were really looking forward to the Tour.
Our tour was suppose to start at 8:15 a.m.
It included a breakfast,
a classroom instruction session and
then we actually got to Tour Epcot with a Segway.
I just kept chatting with the CM about my love of Disney
and Epcot and she assured me I would receive credit back to my credit card.
Then she asked me if I would like to do “The UnDISCOVERed Future World Tour for my inconvience.
So I asked her again,
what she meant,
"was I getting credit and this tour for free
she said, “yes”
She gave me her name and told me to be at Epcot at 8:45 a.m.
check in at the ticket gate and they will let me into Guest Services.

2 Weeks before our trip, I received another phone call from a CM-Mike.
He was calling to confirm our tour for The UnDISOCvered Future World Tour.
Can anyone feel some bad vibes with this phone call?

My dh loves to do any kind of tour.
He would rather find out about the who, what, why’s of just about anything.
Ask him to stand in line waiting for anything,
I think he would rather watch paint dry in our house when he paints.

So on this glorious Monday morning-
temps are suppose to be in the low 80’s,
we drive once again over to Epcot and
get to the Ticket Gate and
the CM does not have our name on any list.
For some reason my ticket was not working either.
The CM forgot to turn on his ticket machine.
I tried once more and he told us to go up to Guest Services.

We entered Guest Services.
I love their uniforms.
I would be so proud to wear the plaid vest with the white shirts and blue pants.

Guess what-our name wasn’t on the list.
I had the 2 CM’s names that called me and once I said their names,
the CM looked at me and said, “if they called you-I believe you.”
So they must have been the managers that he didn’t even blink and made out our name tags and we were asked to be back at Guest Services to start our Tour at 9:00 a.m.
Darn, I took a bunch of photo's with my IPad and Shutterfly will not let me upload them.

This is our CM VIP Tour Guide.
ry%3D400

I find the pics to remind me a lot.
Glad to hear they fixed the mistake.
Mini golf is so fun.
That is a nice idea of hiding them for the kids for when you are gone.
Glad they let you into the tour.
Use flickr. So much better.
