All those plans, and I missed my DIS meet!! Finished 1-3-2014!!!

I am here.
Awe George is a cutie. I love little dogs.
CSR is a nice resort. Good rates and better airfare. LOL
Some car rental agents are sneaky but good for you for standing your ground.
What a horrible CM. I would have called over her supervisor.
LOL. Pin number.
We stayed in Casitas 3 and it is so nice in that area of the Casitas.
Looking forward to more.

We really did have a rotten CM check us in and she did forget to give us our PIN number. I am going to write about it in my next post. I belonged to a April Facebook group and they are all sending in e-mails to tell WDW about some great CM's they encountered. I want to report her, but I won't.

I'm joining!

You're not a boring writer! :thumbsup2

Okay, I was just educated on the fact that the rental car desks are mirror images! I have never paid attention to that before. Go me! Hahaha.

Um....that's a strange check-in CM. I would definitely say something if you think that it's warranted.

Our check-in situation at POFQ was one of the only things I liked about the resort. Someone from Concierge immediately pulled me from the line and took care of everything.
You would think that the CM you encountered would have come across at least one person who had opted not to set up their pin online before arrival, even with online check-in. Although...if she's in practice of walking off as soon as the packet gets turned over, then other people have probably been dealing with her mistakes.

I thought the desk service ladies were pulling my leg, when they said, "mirror images". They thought it was hilarious.

Reallly, you set your pin# up on early registration.? I didn't put a credit card # down when I checked in because I used Disney Gift Cards.

I think you should send them a complaint about her. She will not learn if not. I have sent them about CM’s I have had.

I usually get a follow up survey after my trip, but I did not get one yet. I think I will send an email to them and tell them my experience with early check in.

Wow, bad moderator, forgetting about my own TR.

I left off with the CM at the little store at CSR asking me for my PIN number on my room key.
I had no idea a PIN number went with my room Key, Key to the World, or my card that got me in my room by just flashing it next to a little scanner on my door.

The CM said to me, "Si Sinorita', you need a pin number."

By now, I am tired, way jet lagged, and my mind has to comprehend that my card needs a PIN number, and I do not have a fricken clue, to even know where to go to get a PIN number. The CM then told me that she would over ride her system, so I could have my free mugs that I got with my Dining Plan
She told me to go to check in and get my pin.

I was by the fountain, right next to check in.

There was a line.
Always a line when you are tired.

No CM was checking traffic and guiding you to a open CM.
The 3 CM"s working were all taking time explaining everything to "incoming".

Wish I would of received a little "incoming" info.

Well after 15 minutes, everyone chatting with the CM's all left at the same time and I gotta waved at to go to a counter, from the CM I had that afternoon. I did not go:furious: on her, I simply stated I needed a PIN number apparently to use with my Key Card. She looked at me and said I definitely have a PIN number. I said I am sure I do, but you forgot to give it to me today when I checked in.

I was so kind and guess who was standing behind her-the night Manager. She stepped in and we coded in my card and she told me there is no predetermined
Pin Number, they guest sets up their own 4 digit number, either online or at check in. I told her I never set mine up online, and I had to ask we're my Key Cards were, and I was told they were in my packet.

I finally got back to the room after an hour.
My dh tells me the refrigerator is warm and not working.

I told him my room key works, I have a pin code now, my room safe works and the refrigerator can wait till the morning. Oh, and here is your mug full of ice, dump your Diet Dew in the Mug.

See what happens when you don't update quicker?

I forgot we had lunch/supper at DtD at Paradiso 57.

Great food, no waiting, no pictures, sorry.
We saw a truck that was selling the Limited Edition t-shirts for $34.

Old Town in Kissimmee was having a Classic Car show and we drove over there for a few hours.
Scary place.
I read lots of people asking if they should take the time and visit.
My opinion-no.
Unless you want a bad hot dog or a Root-beer from A&W.
Or, you want to hang out and drink for a lot less,
than WDW.

We watched the Friday nite regulars bring their hot rods in.
Park their cars, set up their coolers and chairs across from their cars, and then watched them freak out, when people touched their cars, or a random kid walked by with an A&W ice cream cone. The entertainment was very highly redneck fun.

LOL. Forgetting it.
I found the pin code confusing being the first place I tried it didn’t work and then after that it did but I never went back to the desk.
I love Paradiso 37. Sitting outside and watching the boats and birds. Heaven.
That does not sound like fun to me. I will stay at Disney. LOL

I go to car shows with my dh, because he can never get enough of them. It is like my obsession with Disney. I should say, he has taught me a lot about vehicles. And, I can tell you the year a car is made, by looking at the headlights and tail lights. Aren't I the smartest cookie in the cookie jar.:rotfl2:

we kinda liked Old Town. but I wouldn't leave disney property to go there. sometimes, when driving, we have left a day early and stayed a night in kissimee at a cheap motel. just to get to florida sooner. maybe spend a little time by the pool, then eat at Ponderosa. check in to disney FIrst thing in the morning!!! (we feel it gives us a better carck at the better rooms, as long as you are willing to wait. but I'm amazed at how often a room to ur liking is ready early!)
anyway, a couple times we walked over to Old Town. people watch, look in a couple shops, get a beer or 2. look at the cars. watch the people riding the extreme rides. just something to do for a bit.

Ya, I agree I shouldn't be so hard on Old Towne. Me and my dh had a debate about the buildings. I say the buildings were brought in, disassembled and rebuilt there and my dh says, they were built there to look old. anyone have an opinion?

Hi Marisa! :goodvibes

I can't get over that CM- how did she make it through training? Just crazy-

Looking forward to more....:thumbsup2

not sure about the buildings.

actually, I do agree with you about old town. I wouldn't bother leaving the property to see it. (unless I was a huge car show fanatic.. but they have those ALL over the usa, all summer) but since we were off property anyway, it was something to do. we could have a couple beers, walk around, without worrying about driving since we were staying about a block or 2 away at the motel 6 or the knights inn for a night.

Hi Diane, the actual area is sort of rejuvenating and cleaning up. probably since Celebration is starting to expand outside of their gates:rotfl: Plus it is so easy to get now.

Hi Mrs. PLods. I hope to get some pics. up since I am working alone Friday and Monday.

I found a picture of the bus. Disney's Truck Stop (Truck).
Many DIS members are shaking their heads with Disney’s new Promotion for the year.
I heard the Disney Bus was going to be at DtD and I did find it. I looked at the merchandise for sale and you could easily find most of the items at World of Disney. They only thing different was “Disney's Truck Stop” -Truck and a few t-shirts. I think the t-shirts had the old style Mickey on the front of the shirt that said, "Keep on Truckin". $35.

My dh looked at me and asked, "why is this bus here?" Good question hon, join everyone else wondering what the significance is.

We awoke this morning and we had an ADR for 8:15 a.m.
at the Crystal Palace.
I found this ressie online about 2 weeks before our vacation.
I figured it had to be a cancellation and
I just happened to be my lucky morning
and I snapped that ADR ASAP.
Throughout my 6-8 months of planning,
I really did not want to go to the MK on a Saturday.
I was going to do the MK solo the following week,
when my dh was at his convention.
But I told him how awesome it was for me to
get the ADR at 8:15 a.m. that we only needed to
spend a few hours in the morning at the MK.
His car show didn't start till 10:00 a.m.
He also didn't know there would be a
"whole lot of picture taking".

Since we were going to be going to a Car Show (again)
at Celebration
which isn’t Disney’s Utopia Village any longer,
We decided to drive to the TTC.
And, since it was still very early, :cool1:
we actually were in the 1st row in the first parking area.
I actually had no idea where to go once we got out of our car.
I took pictures to remind us where we parked
and Disney is pretty clever for people like me
that have no idea which direction to go.
They painted white lines on the ground to follow.

ry%3D400

On more picture to get the scenery surrounding the car.
I think the car spaces in front of us,
were for special permits-like Triple AAA.
ry%3D480

See my line to follow?
But we had to scoot over to the side walk.
No trams were running this morning, but there were
still some service vehicles going under the bridge.
ry%3D480

Here is Mickey waving hello-
ry%3D480

Since it was still early morning,
the only Mono-rails running were the Resort Mono-rails.
The Ferry wasn't even running yet at 7:30. a.m.
Did I mention we were early?
But there is a good reason.
ry%3D480

If you can nab a early ADR at The Crystal Palace
or Breakfast in the Castle,
you can take or try to take pictures without a lot of people.
We had more success trading our camera's with others,
than the PhotoPass Photographers.
I don't know if it was to early in the morning or what.
But here is one picture to start.
I'll finish the rest of the morning pictures in my next post.
ry%3D480

The entrance picture in my last post
was when we returned later that evening.

I was so excited to get into the MK, I stopped snapping pictures.
We saw the line for people with ADR's to get into the MK.
The MK actually did not open today till 9:00 a.m.
No one else was there except us crazies.
When we got to the line it started moving and
we actually walked right in.
The CM didn't even ask us for our
ADR #.

Since we were now "officially" on the Dining Plan
we used our "Room Key"
which had our 1 day ticket,
our Dining Plan,
and it also allowed us to enter our room.
The card actually scanned great,
every time we used it.

People are freaking out on the DIS
concerning the new wrist bands.
I think they should give people an option,
the wrist band or the Key Card.

Ok, here are some pictures we took once we entered.

My DH isn't on to many-remember
I didn't tell him it would be a picture taking morning.

Mickey's new home and the Princess's new home-for pictures.
ry%3D480

Goofy wanted to know my plans for the day,
so I told him.
ry%3D480

He thought I should sit awhile on his lap,
so I complied.
ry%3D480

Minnie told Roy we were some early birds.
ry%3D480

To me the walk is always so fast down Main Street.
I guess it is the awe of looking at the Castle in the morning.
We heard some honking.
ry%3D480

Great job-these guys looked like they were enjoying themselves.
ry%3D480
ry%3D480

Walt, Mickey, Castle-Us-Happy, Happy, Happy.
ry%3D480

Time to check into the Crystal Palace.
ry%3D480

What are some of your opinions concerning
the Buffet's at WDW.
I heard so many complaints with Chef Mickey's.
Rotten reviews were starting to come in
about the Crystal Palace.

I thought the food was decent.
I know you don't get the bang for your buck
or some say it isn't a wise choice if you are on
the Dining Plan, because breakfast isn't as expensive
as other TS meals, but I was Happy,
with my choice.
It isn't always trying to get the most out of the Dining Plan.

My dh wasn't having the interaction with any characters.
Shy guy.
But he was more than willing to take my picture,

We had 2 little guys next to us and I think
they were there for over an hour, before
they even started to eat breakfast.
Crazy character interaction.

So to my embarrassment;

My favorite-I can relate to Eyore the most:
ry%3D480

Piglet was trying to tell me we matched today. Or Piglet liked pink?
ry%3D480

This was embarrassing-Tigger gave me kisses up my arm-
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I think we missed Pooh-we actually went
back to the Buffet for 2nds.
And we rolled out of the Crystal Palace
that was a lot of food.

Time for some walking-
and I wanted to see if any PhotoPass Photographers were out.
