All Star Sports

I usually stay at Boardwalk but am staying at All Star Sports in October. What should I know about All Star Sports?

We (me, DH, DD6, DS3) stayed there last month. It is a small resort. The rooms are small too but it worked fine for us. Sometimes the All-Star Resorts share buses but when they do sports is the first picked up and the first dropped off. We stayed in the Homerun Hotel section and loved it. It was near the smaller pool but on the backside so it was very quiet. The food court was pretty good. We loved it!

I have no idea how you're going to feel coming from BW to ASSp, but I will tell you this. When we went in '06 we were pleasantly surprised. The grounds were nicer than I expected. The room was small but very clean. We did not encounter any rude or obnoxious people, and we had a cheerleading group there towards the end of our stay. If you are depending on Disney transportation, buses were very timely. We usually had our own but when we did share we were first on, first off. I have a kid with special needs and the CMs were fantastic. Great customer service. We had a quiet room that was "garden view" on the backside of one of the touchdown buildings; very close to the pool and food court. The room feels small, but clean. The 6" less on a double does make a difference.

Do find out if there are any groups (cheerleading, band, athletic) expected during your stay. If so honestly I'd switch to one of the other All Stars. At a minimum do request a 'quiet' room - avoid poolside at all costs!!!

We really liked AS Sports until the cheerleaders showed up....
