We stayed in a renovated All Star Movies room about a month ago. It was a huge improvement!

Both movies and music and fully renovated. They are working on sports now.

Building 10 is done, 7 is still being worked on. They have started building 9. This in information from Facebook group comments in the All Star Sports or Disney Value resort group. In addition Stephanie in the All Star Sports Facebook group shared that the rooms have double beds and was kind enough to take photos.

The double beds are coming from managers at the resort and was rumored back a few months ago when I was there on my trip in May. I have noticed while the beds do look smaller, the frames seem like they could hold a queen.

Update: Sadly a mistake was made with the mattresses, Jenna on the Sports Facebook group and took a a picture of the mattress Tag and it’s indeed Queen. Staying in the new rooms.

Disney's All-Star Sports Resort Lobby Refurbishment to Begin on July 25, 2022​

Beginning July 25, the lobby of Disney's All-Star Sports Resort will undergo an extensive refurbishment project that will result in a more seamless Guest check-in experience. Similar to Disney's All-Star Music and Movies Resorts, this refresh will be completed in phases. Guests will continue to have access to the restrooms, bus loop, Sport Goofy Gifts and Sundries, and End Zone Food Court during the refurbishment.
Upon completion this fall, Stadium Hall will feature an enhanced check-in experience offering an open, free-flowing layout with a variety of smaller counters to help Guests kick off their Walt Disney World vacation. This refurbishment is currently expected to be complete in late September.

Yes,poor ole Sports,although the original All-Star,will be last for the Lobby redesign.

Sorry, Facebook Sports and Value resort groups. Looking into it as people were asking. Trying to uncover info about Homerun as there seems to be some updates, but nothing solid right now. Will update once I feel I have solid info.

In the meantime, I'm finding tables, phones , coffee makers and hair dryers in local resale shops.. I guess they get donated.
It's so tempting but I really dont have use for these things..
(Hard line phones .. what the heck would I do with that)

Now the Rumor has changed to building 4 across from building 5. Someone commented in the sports group that it is currently empty and cleaning staff is prepping it right now. Will update once I hear more.

I'm following this with interest! We will be booking for the end of January 2023. I would think they would be done by that time, based on the progress shown here. but I'm nervous.
