Ok, just got back from 6 nights at All Star Sports ... three nights of which were shared with the "Pop Warner" crowd.
I had no problems with the kids at all. Yes, they did practice out on the grounds but not before 9am and very rarely if ever after 7pm.
Yes there were lines at the food court.. the worst of which were around breakfast hours. I fully expected that given how busy the resort would be around that time.
The good news was that the kitchen did NOT run out of food and I still managed to eat -- same as always.
I had a refurbed room in the Touchdown section. I stayed in a king bed room with the slightly larger bathroom. I found this room to be way more than adequate for my needs and felt like I had LOTS of space in the room.
I have some pictures from the resort and from my room which I will add to this thread later today.
There were some crowded bus situations on the way to the parks from the resort but again - I expected that. I didn't experience any kids cheering on the buses or at the parks, but that's not to say it didn't happen. It just didn't happen on the buses I happened to be on.
And yes, while I was at the resort on Saturday night when some folks were ejected for the fight that happened near the arcade, I somehow managed to miss ALL that drama.
The ONLY thing I saw that gave me significant pause, was the behavior of an adult chaperone towards one of their teenage charges. Had I been able to identify what group they were with or what room they were in =-> I would have reported it to Disney security.
Anyways, there it is! All in all, my advice would be that staying at All Star Sports during PW week isn't for the faint of heart, it's not necessarily all bad news either. I never saw the kids in any significant numbers on my limited park visits, but then I never made it to MK at all this trip -- so I'm not the most reliable reporter for that information.
Hope this helps,
Knox
