My MIL is going with us on this trip (she's paying for A LOT of it) How can we get around the max #of guest in the All Star Resorts?" Or is it possible? In a normal hotel we have no problem with the kids & us in 1 bed & her in another -in other words there are 3 adults & 2 kids...can we still stay there????

The main reason for room limits is the FIRE CODE. Also, you would be one short on room keys and one of your party would be unable to have early entry or the evening extra magic hours.........I won't even talk about the honesty issue

The All Stars will allow 4 people, plus one child under 3 in a crib.

I think you'll be okay as long as the little one fits in a Pack'n'Play. :)

(The beds are doubles here- it would be a TIGHT squeeze for 2 adults and 2 kids in one bed!)

If the kid is under 3, you can do it, right? Somebody who knows the Values better than me back me up on this?

BTW, do you really plan on putting 2 adults and 2 children in 1 double bed?

Well I just checked on the website, and if you say the child is 2 years old, they won't let you do it. If you say the child is an infant, they will let you do it. And since neither age requires park admission, I don't see why you couldn't call your 2 year old an infant.

>>>>>>>Two adults and two kids in one bed????I can't imagine that would be very comfortable. I think you will be extremely pressed for space. Can't one of the kids sleep with gram? Or you sleep with gram and the kids and dad in another bed? I would splurge for two rooms, and your sanity.

Under 3 = infant in Disneyspeak. You can honestly tell them your party is 3 dadults, a child (7) and an infant (2). By fire code, your party will be allowed to stay in the all stars. However, there is a possiblity that you will be charged additionally for the 3rd adult (not sure on that). We are always 2 adults and 3 kids, but one or more children has always been ounder 3 on each trip and we are legally, legitly allowed to stay in any room on DInsey property - evne when it states "4 persons" as the max. Any child under 3 does not count in the "4 persons max" head count.

So, long story short, the 2 year old does not count int he head count so 4 people plu your 2 year old are fine for any Disney property room -- but you may be charge dor a 3rd adult.

Good luck.

As noted above as long as one is under 3 you can do it...legally. ;) We have done it with my mother, myself, DH and our 2 DSs, when our youngest was 20 months. It worked out fine. Good luck!

On two seperate occasions, we have had more than the 4 max people in a room.
This last trip, we had 2 moms, and kids 5, 3, 2, 1, 1. Plain and simple, I lied when I booked the room and lied when I checked in. I didn't want to argue. There was seriously no reason to get 2 rooms, especially when the smallest two were both in pack n plays!
The other occasion was when we were teens (1997) and Mom planned the trip- we fit 7 people and an infant in one room. The only hitch was as mentioned- only those with names on the keys would get the EMH (early entry at the time)
Sorry, but with some poliocies, frugality wins over honesty!
