Hi, I am a new poster and wanted to get some information about the Music Resort.

In the past we have always staid in Villa's @ Key West, Fort Wilderness and Boardwalk.

But in March we are going with lots of different family members who didnt want to spent that much $$ on a hotel room so we went with a cheaper room.

What are everyones opionions on the resort? any thing to look or for and somethings that are great.?

Thanks a bunch!

I stayed at the Music several years ago, and although it's nice, I would strongly recommend trying to transfer your reservation to the Movies, if you can. The Music is spread out length wise and if you end up with a room in the country area, it's a bit of a walk from your room to the main building, food court and busses, especially after a long day in the parks. If you can't transfer to the Movies, then I would recommend calling CRO and tell them you would prefer a room in the Jazz buildings (non-preferred) or in Calypso (preferred for an extra $10 per night).

If you can switch to the Movies, then I would recommend the Toy Story area, as it is next to the main building and a quick walk to the main pool, foodcourt & bus stop.

I stayed at the Allstar Music in January and really enjoyed my stay. I was in the Rock Inn which was a stroll from the bus area, but the surroundings are so nice that I really didn't mind the stroll.Besides, any of the 3 resorts that you mentioned have the reputation for being "spread out"

I think you'll find it is very doable and fun. The rooms will be smaller than you are used to in the villas, but they were very neat and clean.

:earsgirl: I'm also going to All-Stars-Music after cancelling our reservation to POR and expend more time at WDW including the meals.....Any other member would like to share their experienced???...Thanks again for this wonderful board.

My dd and I stayed in Music last year in Dec and loved it. We were in Jazz bldg...short walk to the main bldg and bus stop. We liked the food court a lot and found the bus system to work quite well. We never had too long a wait. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. In fact, we are booked there for our last two nights in June, unless we get a really good deal on AP rates and we switch over to POR. But that has nothing to do with not likeing Music. POR was my dd's first resort and she would love to stay there again.

That's exactly what I wanted to say!! :rotfl: We normally stay at Deluxe resorts but we went with family and they did not want to spend the money!! we were in the country building (i think) and it was horrible!! It was a long and HOT walk to the main pool and food court! We were even far from the Piano pool. we also liked having our own balcony to relax on after a long day at the parks but that was not even an option at ASMu. Next time if we went with family or wanted to save money we would stay at a Moderate. Never a value again!!! :sad2:
