All Star Music FAQ thread and tips

Would anyone staying there at the beginning of September be able to share the movie by the pool schedule so we can see it before we get there? It would be greatly appreciated!

Just got back from a stay 1st floor Calypso facing the pool--family suite. We loved it. We found the suite to be very roomy and the amenities handy. The kids loved the games and movies by the pool.

Tuna, what a great idea. Better than mine although maybe some kind person might post a note to the DIS so that everyone could see "Where's Coffeepot"? I have a small microwave that I plan to take to share on a trip also.

Just got back from 2 weeks at ASMu. We had 2 connecting rooms so the kids could have beds instead of foldouts. I have to say that the staff was wonderful. The pool activities were great and the kids wanted to skip the parks to stay at the hotel. Only downside was the noise. We were on the ground floor and between the toilets flushing and the maintence workers driving around in the golf carts, we never got a full night of solid sleep. They are working 24/7 and those golf carts did not seem to stop. But I will say that Mousekeeping, Conceirge, Front Desk, Bell Services, and Food and Beverage were all wonderful. Everyone seemed happy and there was plenty of Disney magic. Service was wonderful in every respect. Our only complaint was the noise.

Just back from 6 nights ... it was wonderful! We were on the ground floor in the Jazz building! Close to the parking lot which was what we wanted since we drove everywhere! Close to both pools! Awesome! We loved it so much we booked bounce back there for next August!

Wow! We also just got back and never (in 2 weeks) got the bounce back offer in our room. I even asked for a flyer at the front desk. They said it would be delivered but it never happened so I thought it was not being offered to value resorts. I guess I just have to hope for another promotion to come our way.

There was no flyer in the room! I didn't even bother asking the front desk either. Another post stated what the extention to call was as well as what the code was from their flyer. I called the extension (they never asked for the code) and was able to book. I even booked free dining at the Contemporary which I don't think was mentioned on the flyer. I think AK and another deluxe was listed.

How does the bounceback work - do you have to book the same month, resort, etc. as the one you are staying in for your bounceback?

I saw someone mention (can't remember where) that the discount codes don't work with value resorts. This is NOT true. I just used one of the discounts from the DIS and 35% off my vacation package at ASMu.

How does the bounceback work - do you have to book the same month, resort, etc. as the one you are staying in for your bounceback?

You can choose another hotel but the bounceback is for the fall season,

I just booked 3 nights at ASMu for Nov. 13-16. We'll have kids ages 13, 7 & 2. Any recommendation for which area to stay in? We definitely would like to be close to the pools & activities. We'll have a car so not worried about bus stops.

We stayed in Jazz because it is not preferred and is between the 2 pools! We too didn't use the buses as we rented a car. Our room was near the parking area! LOVED IT!!!!!!

Another vote for Jazz. We were there for a grand gathering of 19 people and it was the perfect location!
