Jeanylaser....take a look at this link.. It is maps of the all star complexes.
If you scroll down to All Star Music you can see exactly where Broadway is and the proximity to "Melody Hall" which is where the food court/check in/gift shop/ & bus transporation is. And yes, Broadway is standard.

Hey there,

I'll be staying at All-Star Music for the first time starting October 19th (I can't believe I'll be there in exactly two weeks from now). I have read and heard very good comments about this resort. The two times I went, I was at the Movies resort and when we took a walk at Music, we were juste : wow, this is so calm and quiet.

I can't wait to see what it will be like.

Compare to All-Star Movies, is it better for a couple without children (I'm going there with my girlfriend who will visit Disneyworld for the first time)?

Thank you very much for the info! I hope it is broadway!

Thanks for the quick response "justplaingoofy" ..I have always stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and wanted to check out some of the other Values while staying at ASMU. :thumbsup2

Our family needs passes to all of the theme parks around disney. Can I buy passes in the lobby instead to go to theme parks? Can I do that!

Wow, that map answers so many questions I had about this resort!

I don't see a gift shop or mini-grocery listed, though. Is there one available? I'd like to buy lanyards on arrival--if we need to wait until we get to Epcot that night that's okay too.

The gift shop & food items are located inside the main building there. The main building had check in/guest relations, gift shop, food court, & arcade. & Along the front of the main building is the bus stop.

That is a good idea i will buy mine!

I know I have seen it on here but can not find it now that I need it. . .ggrrr.

Can someone who is an ASMu fount of knowledge tell me if all of Jazz is now preferred location? I'm looking at the map and am fairly certain Calypso is all preferred? How about building 3 or 8 (Rock or Broadway?) preferred?
I would really like a room on the "back side" closer to parking then pool?

Does that make any sense? We are driving in this trip with little ones so it would be great to have access to car near building. If they assign us Country fair (furtherest and no nearby parking) I think I may just wilt and collapse in a heap right there and then! ugh. I know someone has to take those rooms but oh please oh please not in September with the heat.

Any thoughts or first hand knowledge on this? Two strollers and second floor don't bother me so much but hiking nearly half mile in the sun to get a drink refill? oh dear.

Hi! I believe the Calypso buildings are the only ones that are considered 'Preferred'. Everything else is standard. The buildings closest to Melody Hall are Calypso followed by Jazz (note that rooms in Jazz are considered as standard). I'm hoping for a room in either Jazz or Broadway! Non pool-facing!

Those pictures of Jazz and Broadway is awesome! Oh! one more thing! Does the All-Star Music Resort has coffee makers!

We had a Family Suite last year on the 3rd floor on the parking lot side of the Jazz building. There were a few Suites on that side and floor near ours.

Yes, we stayed in Jazz last week on the 3rd floor and we did see a few suites on the 3rd floor. They do have elevators just in case you get an upper floor

In case anyone is wondering on the food court - we left on Sat morning and the entire area was open. There was a closure of the main back door as well as some of the food court blocked off during the week. To me, the place looked the same as it did in May so I'm really not quite sure why all the walls. Also, the weekend of Sept 28, the entire area was open, so I'm really not sure if it's completed or not. Maybe the weekends have not work to be done and thus open. It didn't interfere with using the area or getting to buses.
