how is that hotel ? we are used to staying at wilderness lodge, but this was an unexpected trip, so im not going to stay at a deluxe.

but we have never stayed at any value resorts, i heard pop is the best, but i figured that would be full of people and kids.

so i am thinking about movies or music. it will be 4 adults only and we are only planning on going to ak and epcot.

just looking for some advice.

ASMo is great!!! We stayed there last summer and really enjoyed it. Bright colors, great staff, nice pool, and great food court! We were in the Toy Story section and our room was clean. We had no problems with this resort and would stay there again. We chose POR in October just to try a different resort, but my DS7 told me that on our next trip after this one he wants to stay at ASMo again!!! :goodvibes

We stayed at ASMo in 2003 - 5 adults and 2 kids spread over two rooms. (We had planned to staff offsite, but that hotel turned out to be very bad ... after one night I was on the phone to Disney to get rooms onsite.) We totally impressed by ASMo! We liked the theming, didn't find the walks around the property to be too bad (we were in Dalmations), and had not problems with the food court (tasty simple food). No complaints about bus service or mousekeeping. The rooms were a bit small and double beds aren't my first choice. That said, we would definitely go back. On the other hand, none of us are really interested in going back to Caribbean Beach - too spread out for us!

We stayed at WL in 2006 - same 5 adults and 2 kids, plus one more adult. We stumbled on free dining unexpectedly, so opted to spend our food budget on our first deluxe wdw hotel ... we also stayed in 4 rooms - all of which had been newly refurbed. Of course, we loved the hotel. And while we enjoyed the new rooms (and queen beds), the actual rooms weren't "way above and beyond" what we had experienced before at ASMo or Caribbean Beach. (Although seeing fireworks through the trees and taking the boat to MK were definite perks.)

We are going back this December and will be staying in Family Suites at ASMusic ... the price point made the decision for us. Without some great discount or "free dining", we just can't justify the 1000s of dollar difference between staying at a deluxe over a value. We are paying for the dining plan this time and plan on eating at some of the deluxe hotels, but when the time comes to head "home" for the night, we'll be sleeping at a value.

Thanks so much, i do feel a little better.. have you stayed at music before ??? what do you think about that hotel ????

i never even seen the outsides of these expect on pictures

it will be the 4 adults in 2 rooms

I stayed at the Wildeness Lodge, ASMovies, and ASMusic all in March this year. My choice for adults only would be Music. It was alot more peaceful! Now if kids were involved my choice would be Movies. Hope this helps. Plus the rooms at music are refurbished!!

so music has less kids ? i know pop will have the most right ?

I was just there this month. Adult, solo. No problems with kids, no problems with noise. The rooms are motel size but the beds are comfortable and I can see the room working for two adults.

Yes, in my opinion we have always had a more quiet time at Music than Movies. Of course that could always change but thats our experience.

we've stayed at movie several times and have always loved it!

especially the theming, the icons, even the food court!

We love ASMo! It's a cute restort to walk around, and def the best of the values for the scenery, if you're a true Disney nut :thumbsup2 We walked around music and weren't really impressed, though I can't really say much because we didn't actually stay there, and I'm sure the rooms are identical. From our walk it did seem a little less busy at ASMu, and logically you would think families with kids would rather do sports or a character theme. *shrug* I'm sure you'll enjoy either, and they're close enough that you can walk around all 3!

We stayed at Movies back in Aug and loved everything about the resort. We were in the Toy Story Buzz Lightyear section. I would definitely stay there again.

we have booked the bounce back free dining for 14 nights, the maximum. We booked Friday Sept 26 - Fri Oct 10. I realized DD's birthday is our last day and want to stay throughtout that day and leave the next day Sat, maybe even sunday. We fly southwest and I think dings this time of year are grat for any day of the week. Do you agree? Also are there any good discounts on rooms for 2 extra nights (satying at ASM? And lastly what are the chances we can stay in the same room? I was told when I tried to add there are no guarantees, if we had to switich rooms after 15 days I would probably just arrive on Sat instead of Friday to extend the full day on DD birthday and not add any.
Thanks

I am so sorry the above post got added here, I meant to start a new thread... and will..
we are at all star movies now and using dialup, I think the slow connection thre me off and I thought the other page already loaded. To answer your questions,
If you are going to AK, the location can't be beat, you are soooo close it only takes a few minutes to get there. It will be a little tight for 4 adults but if you don't plan on spending much time in the room, it's not bad, we took some advices from another thread and purchased on over the door shoe holder for our toiletries and such and it hangs at the far end of the shower, two reasons, the door wouldn't close, but more importantly my 1 yr old wouldn't stay out of it!
It hasn't been noisy, but we are in the last room on the floor. We request an upper room as I like less traffic and always get it. Not overrrun with kids, but they should be in school right not :)
hope this helps, ask any ?'s, we'll be here a few more days and I can get answers if I don't know them
happy vacationing

Thanks so much pinkerbell. as far as the rooms go we are getting two rooms.
is there anything to do in the hotel it self? how often do the buses run ? you said it was very close to ak what about epcot ?

thanks so much,
have fun on your trip

we have two small ones so use the playground and pools a lot. There is a food court with a gift shop and outside bar which is by the pool, but nothing else. You can always bus to downtown disney.
We also have a car but many have said the busses run very well to all parks and very often. I think we are the last stop since it goes sports, music, movies. Again, it has been very quiet in our area, love it, and have booked the same resort for next yr. I will take some pix's of the room and try to upload them tonight. We will get high speed access for 24 hrs so I can do some work. bummer :( but, anything you want to see inparticular?

We just got back from ASMo and really enjoyed it. There were just 2 adults in our room. The food court isn't too busy in the morning if you get there early. If you don't get there before 9 am it can get quite crowded.

The bus situation wasn't bad in the morning because we got our own buses. For some reason ASMo and *** share buses going back with ASMu gettining its own bus. We rode the ASMu bus back from MGM after Fantasmic and walked to ASMo because there was no line for that bus but the line for ASMo and *** was very very long.

Thanks guys i am so torn on which one to book.. i am off to see if i can find pictures
