I've only ever stayed at Pop. Planning a trip and All-Star Movies is $50/night less than Pop. So, my question is, are all of the various advantages of Pop, including the Skyliner, worth $50/night? We plan on leaving very early in the morning most days, so I suspect we'd be taking buses anyway that early. But the fun of hopping on a Skyliner at the International Gateway and flying home sounds amazing.
For what it's worth, this is a 5-night trip so it's $250 we're taking about!
I have been going through the same decision process. I have stayed a lot at Pop, with only one short trip at Movies, which went well. The only time I was on a shared bus was Disney Springs, but there were other issues with that particular bus (which didn’t pick us up for over two hours, even with transportation CMs trying very hard to get us one. Buses at DS are always a hassle no matter where you stay.). I have an 11 night stay booked at Movies in May, and have been looking at Pop rates to see if it’s worth switching. Pop is running about $60 more per night, so $660 plus tax over the length of the trip. But I know I will spend a lot of time at Epcot for F&G. I will have my car, but hate driving to the parks. My inclination right now is to stick with Movies and save the money. I just booked a similar stay at Pop in August for less than the May Movies stay is costing me, so that is playing into my uncertainty as well. The rooms are so close to identical that sometimes I would forget I was at Movies instead of Pop.
I have had a couple long stays at Pop since the Skyliner opened, and I really like it so far.
ETA - Well, I made the switch to Pop today. Nothing against Movies, but I know the trip will be very Epcot intensive due to F&G and entering through IG made more sense with all the construction.
