All Star Movies Questions

What is the best section to request that is closest to the buses, etc. It is soon time for me to fax my request and I wasn't sure where to try to get! Thanks!

If you are not paying for a preferred location, then I would request Toy Story or 101 Dalmatians.

I just stayed there a few months ago in the 101 dalmations building - i thought it was the perfect location - although the fantasia building is the closest to the pool, food court, and busses - but really not all that much closer - if you are really concerned about the walk fantasia is the way to go - but since those buildings are so close - they are also very busy - and can get a little crazy with loud kids and all - so i think the dalmations building would offer you the perfect combination or location and peace and quiet.

When I stayed at the all star I have stayd in Toy Story and Fantasia. I think that Fantasia is the best location to be in u are close to everything! I never heard that much noise at all. I thought that Toy Story was so far away from the main building. I would definitely stay at Fantasia.

Fantasia is the "preferred" building so unless you are paying the 10.00 more a night for it you will not be granted that section(Unless they give you a free "upgrade"). We always stay in the Toy Story section and it is not far at all. I actually enjoyed the small walk each time we took it. The kids really like this section because it has a larger than life replica of Andy's room which is really neat. Dalmations is just as close as Toy Story just in the opposite direction. They are both really great locations. Far enough away from the main pool so that you don't get all the extra noise. Love Bug section is the furthest away from the main building, busses etc.

There's a shortcut you can take behind the Buzz Lightyear building (10) that takes you right to the bus area. We went that way all the time. You can't get any closer to the buses than that. Everytime we stay at ASMO I request the Buzz building. We love the Toy Story area.

The Mighty Ducks and Love Bug buildings are the farthest from the foodcourt and buses.

We had a different experience. We LOVED the Mighty Ducks buildings. Yes, they were a bit farther to walk to, but it has a pool right in front of it, and rarely was it crowded like the main pool. Because of our kid's schedules, we usually were in bed earlier than most, and It wasn't too loud. I would never stay in Fantasia building, because the noise from the pools in the late evening were very loud. As well as the Dalmation building, in order to get to the Mighty Ducks, you have to walk between the Dalmation building, and some people were not respectful of others and were quite loud. In case your wondering, sometimes after the kids were in bed, I went to get treat for DH and me, or went to the gift shop, so that is how I heard the late night noises.

CJ ~ If you click here ASMO Map you'll see that Buzz building #10 looks like a sideways T. If you look at the far right wing of the building you'll see a pathway (dark purple line) that goes up towards the parking lot side of Cinema Hall. This will take you to the buss area. HTH

We stayed in Fantasia before they charged you extra for it. I didn't find it loud and it sure was convenient, especically with 3 young ones and a big honkin' stroller. The theming wasn't as nice as Toy Story, whcih my boys ADORED. And my boys loved the little car at the Love Bug section. They got such a kick out of all the areas, really, even the little playground. They wanted to spend more time at the pool and on the grounds.

Thanks, these are just the questions I had, too. Looks like if we want to be close to the quiet pool we should go with the Mighty Ducks buildings. I have no intention of paying extra to stay in the closer building, so these resonses really help!

A tip I read about is if you're in Mighty Ducks you can walk to the food court or the bus (or both) at AS Music.

billybaruch1 ~ That's right! I forgot about walking over to ASMU's buses and foodcourt from Mighty Ducks. You're actually closer to them than you are ASMO's Cinema Hall.

Just curious, when is the right time to fax in your room/location requests? I've never done that before, but for my upcoming trip I do have one important request. Thanks!

I would like to know about faxing your room request also. Can you do this if you are going through a travel agent or only if you are booking yourself?

You should FAX in your request 4 days prior to your arrival. I have never done it because I always have good luck getting what I want just by requesting it when I book.

Not sure if you can do this if you used a travel agent. I'm sure someone will be able to answer that question though.
