We are planning on visiting Disney in Feb. for a week. My 4 year old son saw pictures of the All Star Movie Resort and now keeps asking to stay there. I know the hotel is basic and that's ok because we won't be in the room that often, but I was hoping for alittle bit more - no frig (I know I can rent one), no coffee maker, etc.

Any thoughts about this hotel? Thanks.

I think that its a great resort for small kids, and not having those things stinks. But I think that your son will enjoy that resort better than others.
And I recommend requesting a toy story room.

I know you can rent a fridge. Not sure about a coffemaker. Just buy a refillable mug ($11) and get all the coffee you want from the food court.

Absolutely. It's my favorite resort that I've stayed at.

I'm easy to please though. I don't spend any time at the resort execpt to sleep and have a drink or 2 at night. Bus service is great, food court is great, atmosphere is great.

I love this hotel! Last time I was there it was for my 20th birthday and I absolutely loved the theme. We stayed at the Fantasia section but my favorite was Toy Story. The food court is great, the CMs are nice, the bus service never gave us any problems and they have the arcade and store as well. I'm sure a child would love it; I'm planning on staying there when I take my niece next summer (hopefully).

Our family will be at ASMo in Feb. as well. As far as the coffee maker goes, I saw were Wally World will have one on sale on Black Friday for less than $5. Pretty good when that will cover about 2 cups :rotfl2: . I guess it depends on if you're driving or not (may not want to carry it on a plane) :confused3 .
Anyway, my kids are so looking forward to going and staying at this resort.

Dh and I love ASMo! I think it's an adorable resort for children (along with POP).

(Of course, after I typed that, I had to giggle because we don't have any children. :flower: But I do think it's themed in a very fun, child-friendly way.)

The food court is incredibly convenient with decent food (better than counter service at any of the parks, in my opinion), and we were happy with the bus service too.
