We are thinking of eating dinner here one night. We will be driving right to it and while spring training practice will be going on ... the first spring training game will not have been played.

Any thoughts (all are welcome) on the following:

1) Menu
2) Special places to sit
3) Things to be aware of ..
4) Your experiences

There will be four of us ... two boys age 7 who love sports and two moms who are coming along for the ride. :moped: We plan to eat at about 5pm.

We are thinking of trying one night too- would love to hear anyone's opinions or reviews!

We were there for 2 nights in Dec and ate at the food court a couple of times. Food was pretty good. The hamburger station was a little slow - they were making them as we were waiting in line, but at least they were fresh. The chicken strips are the standard ones found throughout the parks. I think they had 3 different food stations and a small area with refrigerated things like salads, sandwiches, etc. The theming is nice-I think your boys will love it. It's pretty big, you shouldn't have a problem with seating. Prices were pretty much in line with counter service at parks.

I think the previous poster is referring to the food court at the All Star Resort.

We ate at the All Star Cafe at the Wide World of Sports back in August. It was okay; we enjoyed ESPN Club at the Boardwalk much better.

I will say that viewing the big screens is much easier here...the main dining room is cavernous and there are probably 16 or so screens on 8 different channels, all the same size, mounted up near the roof. They cover all four wall spaces, and there's a switchbox on your table to pick up the sound for the screen you want. That was kind of neat.

The food was so-so, your basic burgers/sandwiches/simple pasta dishes. We weren't terribly impressed with the menu, and the service was uneven. We chose to go there only because our son wanted to see it, and would never choose to make a special trip there again.

We'd consider it if we were there for an event, but even then if we had an opportunity to go someplace else we probably would.

Do you have to pay to get into the WWOS or is it just outside of it. We would like to eat here as my DH and DS ate here once and they loved it. But he can not remember if he had to use his ticket to get in. I do not want to waste a plus option to just eat out. Thanks! :smooth:

The restaurant is located outside the gates to WWOS. You can easily get there, as well as the gift shop right next door, without needing admission.

Thanks for the info. We are thinking of stopping here on our way out of the World on the way home. :sad2: We are hoping to have 2 TS left on the dining plan, and want to use them up. We really just want a decent meal in place the boys would like. Is it your typical sports bar food? The menu looks yummy!
