All spas closed except in Grand Floridian--Why and Until When?

This is not a thread from 2021/22. Summer 2024 and all the spas are closed except the one in GF. Is it because of resurgent COVID numbers? And does anyone have any insight into when they might reopen? We're particularly interested in the one in Coronado Springs for the first week of November.

The last I read they never reopened since covid(I could be wrong I don't actively follow spa news). If that's true and there not reopened by now I would think there not opening anytime soon

We don't have any possible future reopen date just like Private Dinning (Room Service) is only available at the GF since the resorts reopened after the Covid 19 shutdown in 2020.

We usually go to the Mandara Spa at Swan & Dolphin. It was open for 2 post pandemic visits we booked.

I say it’s not opening.

Don’t be afraid to go off-site. Mandara Spa was ok, their facilities however were sad. I loved my massage at JW Bonnet Creek and the facilities were JW-level nice. I suspect there are spas at some of the other Bonnet Creek hotels as well but I don’t have experience. It’s easy enough to grab a rideshare to those so no reason you have to stick to Disney.

My suspicion is that hotel spas (even outside of Disney) are on the decline, and we are unlikely to see all three spas return...

I think a spa at Disney Springs is more likely to open - perhaps run by an outside spa company....

The pandemic allowed companies to evaluate the services they provide and the profitability. Not unlike most companies, Disney removed services and programs that was not making enough money to keep. Even though they APPEARED to be busy they were not good for the bottom line.
Cast members are costing the company much more now with the wage increase.
