I am very frustrated trying to find a deal for a rental car for April 4-10. Everything I've checked out has deals that end on 3/31.

Does anyone know how to get a good deal for the week I'm looking for?

Those are the exact dates I have been working on as well. None of the coupons work except the car upgrades. I finally got $236 from Nat'l (that was $100-200 cheaper than any of the others) Got it with the Amex code. Didn't have a card but quick applied for one and it was free on their website. A membership card comes with it (National said you have to show the membership card but can charge on any card) Am going to continue to check rates but Easter week seems to be the problem. The $236 is for a intermed. EI

I just booked my car for April 29th (13 days) and used the vacation outlet code: 5042947 and the $25 coupon (expires June 2006) ND6102NJC (you'll have to search on it to print it, or mousesavers may have a link). I think the biggest problem you're going to have is, that you are trying to reserve a car during Easter Week and you will not find many deals or availability during that time. I reserved on National/Ex. Aisle for $150 a week. I had Dollar for $119 a week/full size, but choose National and paid the extra $40 to have the option of choosing from the Executive Aisle.

We're at WDW the week after Easter. I'm not expecting any rental car codes. They usually black out Easter weeks. We decided to only rent for 2 days. We'll get a car and visit family when we arrive, pick up groceries, check in to the hotel, return the car to Dollar at DTD and use Disney transport the rest of the time. We'll take ME back to the airport. We were happy with it the last visit. I think we're paying $113 total from Dollar for the 2 days. That's picking up at MCO and returning at DTD. It was cheaper to pick up and drop off at DTD. This is for a cheap little car. The prices for cars Easter week is crazy!

Not only do I have no luck with coupons, but my Alamo discount codes don't work. It is the same price whether I use a code or not.

Same problem here - our trip is April 4-11. Best rate I've found was on the Dollar website $274 for an intermediate. I've never paid more than $225 over spring break.....this is killing me!

We usually book with a small company called L&M. We are going in May & have booked with Dollar so far as it is the cheapest with some sort of code or special. You could try both of those.

We have a full size booked with Dollar for April 8-14 for $156. I checked all this week and its still the same price -- used codes kiss2 and kisse.

I got a full size with Thrifty through Hotwire for 3/25-4/3 for 216 including taxes/etc. This was several weeks ago though.

I was looking for a good mini van rate for May 24 for 9 days. Having never spent more than $200 per wk, base rate and $45 per extra day, I wasn't happy that NONE of the Dollar codes were working for a base rate of less than $242/wk. At one point a "city special" pop up appeared on their screen but by the time I clicked on it and put the info in, it was gone. One of the Thrifty codes worked for $217/35 so I kept that. In the meantime I have checked Dollar everyday, tried a new code that was in Better Homes (KISSE) and while that didn't work, the pop up appeared again, so I booked at $217/$35. Considering that that particular rate is within $20 of what we have paid for the last 20 years, I am happy with that. I will keep checking for the heck of it, but if it doesn't go lower, its fine.

My national rate for my April29-May 11 trip dropped again. I had a 2 week reservation for Intermediate for $357 all taxes and fees and today it dropped to $342. While the drop was only a mere $15, you have to love the direction it's going in. Maybe folks should take another look at their spring reservations.
