All questions about 5X Rewards here...

It looks like I received my bonus for Oct and Nov on my Dec stmt. I had 159 Disney dollars as of my Nov 26 stmt.

This is what I have now:

159 beginning bal
8 regular Dec Disney dollars
84 bonus for Oct 1-31
27 bonus for Nov 1-30

My total disney dollars is 278 so it is all in there. Odd they put 2 months together. I can earn another 89 bonus of which I have 22 for dec so I will prepay some of our room for Feb just to get that bonus and hopefully (based on this stmt) I will have that additional 89 disney dollars for our Feb trip!!


Also, has anyone gotten a notice on a new offer for Jan-Mar? I haven't and when I called the Customer service rep said no offer is out ther for Jan-Mar. Just wondering!

Just found out today that we will not be getting the 5x bouns dolloars before our trip... Very upset as I put everything on this card for the trip for this reason. But we were told we would get the rewards for the regular $1.0 for every $100 you spend. Guess that is better than nothig, but I am still upset as it even says in their computer that I was told I would have plenty of time to get the rewards on my statement before our trip in Feb. Made the purchase Dec 2nd.

When does your stmt cycle? You may get some of the Oct and Nov if you haven't gotten them. I was VERY surprised to see 2 months worth (that never happened in past offers) I now, based on my dec stmt think I'll get the Dec bonus in Jan. All the reps you talk to at chase say a different thing about the offer some say it will post all at once in 2 stmt cycles after the entire offer is over, some say month by month. I got 2 months bonus on Dec stmt!

The 25th is when my statement ends. She did transfer over my Oct dollars, but they were not the 5xs, she said it takes 6-8 weeks after the promotion ends, which would be Dec 31st??? I think.

We had nothing on it for the month of Nov, and the next time we used it was in Dec when we booked our trip...so not sure what my next statement will show..

IT's so odd that they are applying these bonus amounts different for stmts that cycle about the same. Mine for both Oct and Nov (the bonus 4 times) was put on m account the 26th of Dec (I didn't ask for them they are just in my balance) Yes, the promo ends Dec 31 but in all past offers the bonus for say Oct was applied on my Nov stmt, the Nov bonus on my dec stmt. I NEVER got a lump sum after the offer. (this could happen to someone that signed up during the last month) Hopefully you ( and I) will get those bonus dollars on the Jan stmt!! We, too, are going the beginning of Few. I did call today to have my card mailed. I only had the minimum of $10 put on it just in case!! I will put the remaining Disney dollars when we are on our way!! We are driving and you just never know on the weather!! At least we have a room only reservation with the 40% PIN.

So, if if I am understanding this correctly, I spent $1900 in dining, groceries and gas last month? $1000 to reach the plateau then 900X.04 = 36? Am I calculating this correctly?

Yes. The bonus is earned on the actual month not your stmt month. Regular disney dollars are earned as your stmt cycles.

Ohh I am just so bummed about this...,sorry to sound like a debbie downer, but boy, if I knew it was going to work like this, I would have went with my CC that gives me instant miles and a lower % rate....

By the way I also spoke to the "manager" and they said there was nothing they could do...now what am I going to do with all those Disney rewards AFTER we are done with our trip? I do not see us going to Disney again by Dec of 2010...

WHo knows what they are actually doing. I was told (as in the past each month would post in the subsequent month due to the overlap of actual vs. stmt month. This offer my Oct bonus and Nov bonus amounts both posted on my Dec stmt that just cut. In past offers the oct bonus portion posted on the NOv stmt. I hopefully will have the Dec on my Jan stmt since we are going the beginning of Feb. I don't know why nearly every customer service rep tells a different timeframe and the card actually is posting the bonus portion differently for some! Who knows why 2 months bonus on one stmt. I did calculate my bonus and my amout is exactly correct.

I was told the same thing about it taking awhile for the points to actually be awarded!

well I guess all I can do is wait until my Jan 25th statement closes and see what shows up for disney rewards. It takes all of 3 mins to put the rewards on your already exisiting card, so I guess that is all I can hope for, even SOME of the bouns rewards with the 5xs would be nice. However I will be closing my card after this trip...not happy at all with them over this.

Don't forget the bonus is on ACTUAL month not stmt month. Are you saying you didn't spend the 800 over your threshold to get the 36? My Oct and Nov bonus portion were posted on my Dec 26 stmt just to let you know. It was combined - first time this ever happened. Also, are you positive that you had the categories? mine had no categories this offer. I did get $111 bonus for the 2 months (my Max. bonus amount was $200) This month I should earn the rest (just put my car ins. on the card) We go the beginning of Feb so I hope the Dec amt is there at the end of Jan.


Also, anyone get the offer for Jan-Mar? I called and was told no for me!

I received both my Oct and Nov bonus in Dec. It was combined and correct. The difference is that your bonus is on the 1st to monthend and I didn't know when you spent the money. Maybe your bonus is like mine for 2 months you have to figure what you spent Oct 1-nov 30 (take the 1000 off for each month) and then calculate on the actual month. Just a thought. I'm just trying to help you figure your bonus that's all and it is caluclated differently than the regular dollars. I earned 84 for the actual month of Oct and 27 for the actual month of Nov and all 111 were on my Dec 26 stmt. Look at all your charges and figure it that way.

My dec stmt already cut but I charged a big charge yesterday and that will be in the bonus for Dec even though it's already done. The promo runs through Dec 31 not my stmt date.

The other day, the lady transferred 38 bouns dollars, from I think my Dec statement, which ends on the 25th....so on my Jan statement, will I not get anything??

We did out trip in Dec, so I do not understand why I can not get my bouns dollars in Jan and why they are saying April... It seems like others are getting them even before the promo ends...

I might have to call again and find out what my Jan statement shows for points, not that my Dec statement has closed.

I don't know where Apr came from The bonus (usually posted by month) is to be paid by 6-8 weeks from the month earned. I got Oct and Nov bonus on my Dec 26 stmt. The latest you should get the bonus is by your Feb stmt. I think as long as the stmt is near the end of the month Jan is more like it. I was told (when I didn't get Oct on Nov stmt) that it would be after the total promo ended (that would make sense if you didn't sign up right away and waited til now) but I signed up Oct 1. You most likely will have your bonus portion well before April. I hope I get my Dec bonus in Jan as we are going the beginning of Feb. I just ordered my giftcard with the minimum amount of $10 (to make sure I receive it) and then I'll transfer the rest just as we go!! (never take chances anything can happen!!) I only transfer the Disney Dollars when I will use them since they will expire sooner if on a card (Dec 31, 2010 is what I was told)

I would think you will get some on the Dec stmt. I did on the 26th I received the Oct and NOv amt of bonus!!

REALLY??? My card has an expiration date of 12/2010....I have not even activiated the card yet. Does this mean I loose all my rewards come tomorrow cause they are transferred on the card?

Oh good god, not sure how worth all of this was...
