Just paid the last bit off our holiday in September, i feel so happy and also proud of myself. We have been 3 time before but each time we have paid the holiday with a loan or its been paid for us, this time i paid it monthly using my wages and its all paid and we owe nothing.

I worked part-time this time last year but i got a full-time job October at the same place so the extra i got each month went on the holiday.

Congratulations! And you should be proud of yourself! You will feel so different this trip knowing that you don't have to go home and pay for it afterwards. And the nice thing is you get to start saving now for the next one.

its a great feeling isnt it, the last two holidays we have paid for every penny ourselves hubby and I have taken on extra jobs and delivered every directory going but it really is a fab feeling Enjoy your Holiday

Well done. DH and I always have to have our holiday paid for up front - I couldn't bear the thought of coming home and having to pay off the holiday before I could think about the next one

Whoop Whoop!

This has inspired me...i had to take a new job just recently to avoid redundancy and we move home this weekend so i can take the job. The new job doesnt pay more and i'm having to have long commutes to work so costs are going to be higher...but we REALLY want to go back. So i'm going to work my socks off...try to save as much as possible and do whatever extra work i can so that we can go back in 2011...Hopefully i'll be posting here to tell you all we've booked soon! Watch this space.
