All of Critter Country will be closed July 8th along with the Bridge to Galaxy Edge

Will be interesting to see if any changes happen to the path that goes over Tianas final drop (along with the hidden walkway behind Harbour Galley)
Sounds like they'll need access to all of that area down to lower Hungry Bear

I sure hope that access remains to that hidden walkway. It's one of my favorite places in DL to people-watch, because everyone starts laughing as soon as they hit the bottom of the drop.

WDW get's tiana's opening in june meanwhile we have even more closures happening in july... this is disappointing and doesn't bode well for a timely opening

Our Splash closed 4 months after WDWs

So Disneyland was always going to open later, but shouldn't be longer then November

I'm more worried about HM, we are 3 months out and the gift shop hasn't even started to be built and the Q is no where near done and thats suppose to open the last weekend of August

I'm just hoping that they manage to get the interior portions complete first so the HM can open and run while they finish up the exterior portions. Having so much of that side of the park out of commission for such an extended time is infuriating.

Except that we don't actually know what the timely opening would be. It's all speculation at this point. "Winter 2024" is the closest we've gotten, but no official date. That's still quite a ways away. We were always going to be behind WDW, since they closed Splash four months before we did. That hasn't changed. The closures definitely suck, especially for anyone who ias making their first visit or perhaps only visit for a very long time this summer. (As a frequent visitor, I just remind myself that the walls are gonna go away eventually and it will be great.)

The only thing that really HAS to be finished by August 23rd for a Halloween season opening is the queue and the new ADA exit. So even if the store is not ready, there is no reason the rest can't open on time. It would be IDEAL if it all opened that week, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that way.

Yikes, this will really put the squeeze on the rest of the park, especially if other rides break down during the day. As others point out, I would be very disappointed if I were planning a trip there over the summer.

I'm pretty sure they won't open just part of it, they will hang out until everything is finished. Just my opinion anyway.:ssst:

The squeeze is already intense. When we were there a couple of weeks ago, Pirates closed for about 15 minutes, which forced the wait time on BTMRR to 50 minutes at 8:45 am.

Well there is no official date for anything even HM

Splash at WDW is a longer ride and has more scenes and the same team worked on both, I have not heard they are behind so unless you know something in theory this opens at the latest in November. So in theory our version should be good to go within its time since its a shorter ride and the team already did everything once for WDW

Ooof if they said Winter, that sucks since Winter starts on December 21 this year.
I've heard winter, I've heard just "2024", I've heard November. But really, no one has any idea until its announced. Will be interesting to see if they announce an opening date this summer or wait until D23 in September to give it to us.

They only opened MMRR and not the rest of Toontown, so it's definitely not unprecedented. The HMH overlay is SO popular, that I just can't imagine them not having it open when Halloween season starts, even if there are other things not ready. Also, a lot of the work they've already been doing seems to be the hardest part of it. Once that's finished, a lot of it will be purely aesthetics. Sometimes these projects seem like they're taking forever, and then next thing ya know... BAM. Looks like hell right now, but will all of a sudden take shape!

But, like I said, no one actually knows anything at this point and it's all just speculation.
