Ok, so I have a question. There are so many amazing pictures on this thread that I like to use them as my computer wallpaper at work. I used to always send a message to the person and ask permission and they would say go ahead and use it. I stopped asking - I only use it for my wall paper, and in all honesty if someone comments on it I am quick to say I didn't take it. Am I allowed to do this or am I supposed to ask for permission? Thanks.

I would never care if someone uses my pictures in that manor, with or without asking. I probably wouldn't ask if I wanted to use someone elss pictures either. To me, if you post pictures in a forum like this, it's public anyway.

The only thing that would change my mind is if it involves chicldren (or adults too actually).

I agree...once posted on a public sight anyone can use them unless you have your name or some type of logo on it....I am always honored when people tell me they have used mine as wallpaper
