Anyone know where to get some really good quality but inexpensive clothing. Need some new tees for Spring and was wondering where you would get yours from?

I'll probably in the 26/28 size range. Thanx in advance for any help.

do you have an Avenue store near you? They always have fantastic sales and coupons. Same with Lane Bryant. My local store had an additional 30% off clearance items and they took my coupon on top of it too.

Fashion Bug plus too...and Torrid always has cute stuff, but there's not one near me, but you can purchase online. Good luck!

I shop Avenue online because we don't have an actual shop, they left town yrs ago. And I think Lane Bryant in getting ready to shut down in out Mall. We don't have a Fashion Bug either but will check them out online. Thanx.

Catherine's perfect price shirts are not expensive, and they have lots of Tees.
Wal mart is also carrying 26/28 Tees.

I like 100% cotton v neck tees, none of this cotton/spandex mix for me:scared1: I was with a friend shopping a few weeks ago at JC Penny. Did I mention I hate shopping for myself. I spotted some whtie t shirts, noticed they were v neck and decided to check them out! I picked up 4 100% cotton white v neck plus size t shirts! I was in my glory and told my friend I had my summer wardrobe. :lmao: Try Penny's or Fashion Bug--online if you don't have those near you. I am going to look at Avenue online, have never heard of them.:goodvibes

I buy all of my t-shirts from Lands End. I normally buy through the catalog but this time I was in Sears and they were having a 20% off sale on everything, even sale items. So I loaded up on Lands End tshirts. Though I buy a L or XL in shirts I am a size 16/18 for pants. Our Sears do carry your size tshirts in the store.

Thanx, found a cute one on Catherine's website. It sucks because I have to figure shipping costs into most of my clothes budget. Which can eat up a big chunk of it.

Our Wal Mart is so screwed up. We have a plus-size section but it you don't pay attention you can easily end up in Maternity or Juniors. I think we literally have only 5 or 6 racks of plus size clothers there and then most of those racks are jeans or clerance stuff from like last winter.

i don't like the spandex mix either, makes me uncomfortable and it clings...don't need anything to cling, trying to hide not show off:rotfl2:
Gonna check Penny's. Never knew they had plus-size stuff in there.

I'm gonna have to check Sears too. That's the only store that remains after they tore down that mall. Gonna check them out. I thought Land's End was really expensive?

Do you have a Target near you? I always avoided Target's women's section because it is right next to maternity, and I kinda hate that. However, I looked there the other day and found some jeans that I love and some cute tops. It is worth a try...

I found a really cute t-shirt at Target. V-neck with a little gather in front, long enough to cover what needs to be covered, and I think they were about $12.99. I bought one in every color they had. They're comfortable, too-really soft-feel like pajama's. I love them.

I think this is the one I lived in last summer

In store they have specials- but that is a good price for online. I actually might order off them for the first time because I am liking some of the prints they have. They held up very well. In fact the 3 that I bought are still good to go this year and I wore them all the time last year!!
The problem I have had with Landsend is that they shrink in the wash lengthwise- so they get short very quickly.

Oh and on the spandex- it's really not clingy just makes it keep it shape. I am not a tight person and I liked these.

Tshirts in plus size are $19.50 but if you buy 3 or more they are 17.50. Also lands end has been having free shipping lately. If you don't like what you get you can take it back to Sears. Also, many times Sears will have a sale on the Lands End items in the stores that isn't available on line. The shirts, wash well and tend to last a long time. I really get my money worth out of them. They also keep their shape after many washings.

If you don't see the size you need at Sears for Lands End, you can order through their computer in the store and SHIPPING IS FREE!!!

It is a great way to ge a new color/size that isn't in the store and not pay for shipping. Plus, if you have to return something, you can return a Lands End purchase at the Sears store, even if you bought it online to begin with....

I've ordered from these sites a couple of times.. great customer service and decent quality. :goodvibes

I wear the same size

Lands End online - check their overstock - love their clothes and have found comfy pants (elastic though) I swear by their swimsuits as well

JC Penney online - sporty outfits - matching shirts to capris

Belks online- check clearance - I just got a bunch of shirts for 4 and 5 bucks

Target - check their clearance in their plus size section

Try BCOutlet.com This is the overstock outlet for all the plus sized clothing catalogs. I just placed an order and the quality was very high--but be careful when you order to read the material content of the clothing--to avoid any possible disappointment. For around $150 I got capris, dressy shirt, leather dress sandals, a dress for work, dress for summer--work or going out, shrug to match the dress, formal dress and bathing suit as well as a sarong coverup. I am picky about my clothing (usually Coldwater Creek, CJ Banks, Lane Bryant and Catherine's) and tried them with a very small order to begin with--I was pleased so I went with a bigger order figuring I'd be out the $6.00 to ship to me and another $6.00 to ship it back if necessary. They always have coupons as well to help defer the already low cost. Look for the Jessica London (JL) brand that is usually very nice quality!

A word of warning about ordering from woman within. They send a TON of catalogs-I mean more than 1 a week and from EVERY company they deal with. I got men's catalogs and a bunch of others. I got 16-20 catalogs in one month.:scared1: The same catalogs over and over. I tried for months to get off their mailing list. MANY phone calls and almost a year later, I think I am finally off the list. :thumbsup2

I have shopped at most of the stores mentioned - but did anyone suggest Roamans? Maybe they are part of the women within group... I also have found nice plus fashions at Boscovs; it is regional, but have a web store.

Anyway, as I always suggest - if shopping online, go through your rewards sites! I know Sunshine Rewards has plus size shopping category so it easy to find the stores for us Pooh size ladies!

Check Old Navy online. They have lots of cheap stuff on clearance at any given time, and shipping isn't too $$. I like them for my weekend wear. I also buy a lot at Target and Lane Bryant, but LB is getting more $ without increasing quality.

I am the same size and I buy most everything from Old Navy online or Coldwater Creek online. I only buy Coldwater Clearance thou.
