OMG!! A Vanessa Alert! I am DIS-ing with the TV on, and ALL of a Sudden I hear Vanessa's voice! I look up, and THERE SHE IS on a Re-run of "In the heat of the Night" episode! I swear she sounds the SAME as she does On AMC!! You know, the breathing and ALL! LOL Hysterical!

Hey - I've been looking forward to the Soap Opera Awards (ie: "Soap Opera Digest" Awards) - they are usually televised around this time each year. Well, I just saw on line that they actually conducted the voting via the internet this year and I guess that there won't be a televised presentation at all! I'm very disappointed! I always like those categories like "Best Villain" and "Scene Stealer". It seems that the only person from AMC who won was Bianca. Oh well - there are always the Daytime Emmy Awards next month!

How did I know that Liza was going to wind up with amnesia???? And what was Jake doing in the operating room, anyway - is he a brain surgeon now, too?

Do you think that the man who Mia doesn't want to run into is the father of her baby? Or the adoptive father of her baby?

I really liked the scene with David, Leo, and Maggie having lunch together and getting to know eachother - I thought that that was nice!

Hi, Lisa!

I think the man from Mia's past is the father of the baby she gave up for adoption. That's my guess. I love her hair now. I know I keep saying it but I'm just shocked that it looks so good now since I hated it so much before! LOL!

Liza having a brain tumor and now amnesia is about as cliche as you can get on a soap opera. And Liza sure has alot of hair considering she just had brain surgery. But I am enjoying all the surrounding storylines it's creating. Poor Marian slipping back to alcohol. Mia is so sweet with Colby. And I always enjoy Adam/Stuart scenes. This is certainly giving David Canary an opportunity to flex his acting muscles.

Poohbear - I've caught Marj Dusay on Nick at Night a couple of times. She was in several episodes of Facts of Life as Blair's mother. She did the gasping and breathing there too. I guess every character she has ever played had asthma. LOL!

I've also seen Vanessa as Blair's mother on "Facts of Life" - that is so funny!

I also like Mia's hair a lot better, now. I think that the color looks much better on her. And I really like this new relationship that they are building between her and Liza and between her and Colby. Hard to remember that just a few months ago, she was blackmailing the entire family and existing on poker winnings! I wonder if Liza is faking her amnesia to "protect" herself and Colby from Adam. I still don't get why she took that money from Chandler Enterprises and hid it under her bed frame, or whatever. One would think that she would have enough money of her own, after coming from a wealthy family and having many high-power executive positions, over the years!

The scenes with Erica, Greenlee, and Kendall, yesterday, were so funny!

Looks like Tad will be back to whine about Ditsie on today's episode!

I hope that we get to see some of Brooke and Edmund's wedding plans happening, soon. I think that PV could use a happy occasion, after Proteus, Liza's operation, the David Hayward scandals, and the like!

Also enjoyed the interaction between Jack and Trey.

I'm liking Mia and Jake together.

Poor David - having to relive his father's suicide through his mother's psychotic episode. Very powerful scenes today!

Lisa - I'm also loving the Erica/Kendall/Greenlee scenes! How funny was that yesterday when they were each thinking to themselves?! Hadn't thought about Liza faking the amnesia. Hmmm, that could be interesting. And where the heck is Marian? Is she still sleeping it off?

Hey, Patty - where are those SSW pictures?! I need a Jack Scalia fix since he hasn't been on much this week.

Just checking in. Work has been busy lately so not a whole bunch of time to post anything. Hope all is well with everyone. I am watching the shows, I actually turned the channel off of the show today though. I was getting sick at the Vanessa scenes, I could not take anymore. I had to turn it. I waited a few mins and turned it back though. I will be glad when this storyline is done, it is just too much for me, I dont like it anymore.

I also like Mia getting closer with her sister and niece.

Next week I will be @ Disney so I will only get to watch on Monday and Tuesday. I will need those updates ladies!!

Yeah, those Vanessa scenes were really something, yesterday. I thought that David played against them really well - he even had a tear roll down his face at one point, when she was going on about his father! I think that Vanessa is really good and really funny, but this storyline has been going on for so long that I also think it's time to move on to something else. I did have a thought, though - she obviously has someone helping her. I think that we were supposed to think that that disembodied hand with the needle (the other day) was Mateo coming after Vanessa. But now I think that the person attached to that hand was really someone helping Vanessa, and that that needle was intended for the security guard outside Vanessa's room, not her, herself. Maybe Arlene is helping her??? (I keep thinking that Arlene must be involved in this Proteus thing, somehow!)

Aprille - yeah, Tad was a total jerk, yesterday. He was being so selfish - Brooke always supported him and Ditsie (and him and Gloria and him and all of his other love interests since their divorce), why can't he let Brooke have a little happiness, for a change??? I was hoping that Edmund would just throw him out of the room! He was right - Tad was acting just like Adam! Speaking of Tad and Adam, maybe Tad can go back and work at WRCW, now (we haven't seen the station in so long.....with Liza, Adam, and Tad out of commission now, who is running the place? Rudy?), and finally be the Station Manager, there. If I'm recalling correctly, Ditsie made him quit his job there because she didn't like him working so closely with Liza and didn't like his "celebrity lifestyle" (of course what did he proceed to do then? Get a job at Chandler Enterprises WITH LIZA!). Now that Ditsie is out of the picture, maybe he can revitalize "The Cutting Edge", or something. (Speaking of which, what ever happened to "Wave"? Is Hayley still on maternity leave?)

Uh, doesn't Greenlee own a robe?! I guess if I had a body like that I wouldn't worry so much about covering it up either.

What was Simone wearing - the latest in Slutwear?!

It was good to see a couple of glimpses of Lovable Tad today!

Loved Palmer's comment to Leo and David about their mother's MIA status: "I hope she's on her broomstick halfway to hell!" LOL!

Hayley should make up her mind. First she wants Mateo to be with her then she talks him into staying at the party. I realize it's a plot device to keep Mateo where the action is but they should at least try not to have such conflicting character behavior IN THE SAME EPISODE!

WOW! What an ending! Had me laughing out loud!

WHERE THE HECK IS CHRIS?!?!?!

Hi, AllyandJack! I don't have an answer for you but I feel your pain. My stupid cable company doesn't carry SoapNet either! Whenever AMC is preempted here I call the local ABC affiliate directly and ask them if they are rebroadcasting. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. I hope you get to see it because it was good today!

Not that it’s a big surprise. We’ve heard the rumors numerous times. But it looks like it’s really going to happen this time. This was posted today on SoapCentral. I just knew Brooke was too happy! Bummer! I was never a big Maria fan. (What can I say? I guess I dislike all the “best-loved” female characters. )

It's been four and a half years since Maria Santos met her unfortunate end in a place crash and in that time numerous rumors have hinted that actress Eva LaRue (ex Maria Santos) would return to All My Children

Previous rumors aside, this time LaRue's return is legit; Outgoing ABC Daytime President Angela Shapiro made the announcement herself.
